The Penang Ferry Service is the oldest ferry service in Malaysia, connecting passengers from George Town and Butterworth since 1920. The service caters to everyone – daily pedestrian commuters, tourists as well as vehicles – and takes less than 10 minutes to get to the other side. NIKI CHEONG and a few young reporters from The Star’s BRATs (Bright, Roving, Annoying Teens) were given the opportunity to view the ferry in ways an ordinary passenger would never get to.
