Message from the Chancellor
I am delighted to bring you greetings!
Education has been a part of organized human activity for a long time. One of
the early organized institutions was Plato’s Academy in the fourth century BC.
Although many centuries have passed since these Athenian days, one thing has
remained constant, and that is the goal of education: to train the mind and pro-
vide opportunity. Acsenda School of Management, formerly Sprott-Shaw Degree
College, subscribes to that too. Our successful history demonstrates that.
Our business programs provide an environment and course structure that are
both rigorous and rewarding. We believe that our small class sizes and pleasant
atmosphere enhance the opportunity for learning. If you are looking at us for the
first time we say: consider us now. If you have joined – Welcome and enjoy!!!
Honourable A. Brian Peckford P.C., B.A. ED, L.L.D.

Acsenda School of Management offers a four year degree
program leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Business
Administration (BBA). This program is offered under the
written consent of the Minister of Advanced Education
effective November 12, 2004, having undergone a quality
assessment process and been found to meet the criteria
established by the minister. Prospective students are
responsible for satisfying themselves that the program and
the degree will be appropriate to their needs (for example,
acceptable to potential employers, professional licensing
bodies, or other educational institutions). In June 2009,
Acsenda School of Management was granted consent by the
Ministry of Advanced Education, Employment and Labour to
offer the degree program for a new 5-year term.

At Sprott-Shaw we’ve been approaching education in a modern way since 1903. After almost 101
years, in 2004, Sprott-Shaw, as a well-established and recognized community college, was grantedpermission by the Minister of Advanced Education, in the Province of British Columbia, to offer a
baccalaureate degree in Business Administration under the banner of Sprott-Shaw Degree College
Corp. In 2013, approval was given to change the name to Acsenda School of Management –
Vancouver, to reflect the school’s focus on providing technically-based degree programs that teach
relevant skills to meet the needs of students and employers.
Our degree programs are relevant and meaningful to current economic trends. And we deliver them
in a way that is in tune with and meaningful to the lives of our students. As they prepare themselves
for bright careers in business administration, our students, both domestic and international, have
discovered real value in the concentrations offered at Acsenda: Human Resources Management,
Marketing, Accounting, and International Business Management.
For those of you who choose a pathway to post-secondary education at the bachelor or higher levels,
a future of far greater promise awaits. I highly recommend that you explore your future potential in
business administration and encourage you to consider the stimulating choices offered in our bachelor
degree programs. Underpinning everything we do is our unwavering belief in the potential of every
single student to create a brighter future. We truly believe that with focus and drive, anything is
possible.
If you are considering a career in business, I invite you to visit our website, www.acsenda.com, to
discover the values of the college’s business administration degree program and the potential career
paths available to you in our four areas of concentration.
At Acsenda School of Management our programs are offered through a modern approach to
education. I look forward to having you join us.
Sincerely yours,
Patrick DangPresident, Acsenda School of Management
