Actifl ow is a company specialized in combining aerodynamics and product design. In a team of designers and aerodynamicists, high end knowledge of airfl ows is turned into products.

We o� er engineering and support from the conceptual phase where brainstorming and designing are essential, up to the detailed engineering of fl ow related products. Also prototyping and testing are part of our activities. Whether it involves an improvement of an existing product or the development of a completely new product, Actifl ow has the right skills to work out new ideas in a time e� cient way.

Besides our design activities, Actifl ow performs aerodynamic studies on a consultancy basis. Through fl ow simulations (CFD), Actifl ow studies the behaviour of air, and its e� ect on its surroundings.

Our simulations make it possible to predict the forces acting on solid bodies in an airfl ow, the changes in air temperature due to thermal sources, the mixing of multiple fl ows in a certain space, etc. The possibilities are endless.

The CFD fl ow simulations are also used during our design work. They form the fundamentals for design assessment and improvement. Based on the simulation results, we can provide you with smart advice, we can verify if the required design goals are met, we can look for possible improvements, or we can design from scratch.

Our team consists of highly skilled designers and engineers, cooperating on none single work fl oor. Our competences include product design, aero- and hydrodynamics, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) and systems & control.

Aerodynamic Consultancy

We have several facilities at our disposal to support our services: a large computer cluster to run the fl ow simulations, a workshop where prototypes are built and tested, and easy access to wind tunnels through our cooperation with Delft University of Technology. Thanks to all these possibilities, we can select the right approach for every project.

Actiflow is founded in March 2005 as a spin off from Delft University of Technology. Our kick off project involved the introduction of an active flow control system for vehicles. Through the years, Actiflow gained lots of experience in the automotive industry, cooperating with large OEMs in the aerodynamic development of new cars and in the optimization of their wind tunnel experiments.

Parallel to our activities in the automotive, Actiflow started offering engineering and design services in many other industries in 2007. Since then, Actiflow has grown to a successful company specialized in combining aerodynamics and product design for a wide range of markets.
