In Spanish the verb in the infinitive (before you conjugate it) ends in either “ar”, “er”, or “ir”.

In English a verb in the infinitive has “to” in front of it

to study, to eat, to drive

The “to” in Spanish is built in!!!

Regular verbs with strange “yo” forms:

The rest of the verb is conjugated like a regular verb:

ie: saber (yo sé, tú sabes, él/ella/usted sabe, nosotros sabemos,ustedes saben, ellos/ellas saben)

dar: (yo doy, tú das, él/ella/usted da, nosotros damos, ustedes dan, ellos/ellas dan)

There are other verbs who do not qualify as action verbs. Most of these are also irregular verbs.

Irregular verbs need to be memorized!Ser, estar, ir, tener, poder are some verbs in this category

Ir (yo voy, tú vas, él/ella/usted va, nosotros vamos, ustedes van, ellos/ellas
