WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Take a butterfly on a journey around your local area, watching as the patterns and colours of its wings change with the nature around you.
You’ll need to print out the butterfly template at the bottom of this pack or draw your own. Stick this to a piece of cardboard and then ask a grown-up to cut out the wings of the butterfly, leaving a hole in the cardboard where the wings used to be.
NoNow, with a grown-up, take a walk around your local area looking for bits of nature that have interesting patterns or bright colours. When you find something, hold your butterfly nature frame in front of it and the butterfly’s wings should now be full of the flowers, leaves or whatever else you have found. Take a photo of that frame and then carry on finding new colours and patterns.
AAfter your walk, take a look through all the photos you have taken and select you favourite three. Send these to your BB group or post on social media using #BBatHOME.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Build a racing car from a toilet tube ready to race around the home.
Perfect to celebrate the return of Formula 1 racing.
1) Colour or paint a toilet roll tube. This will be the body of your car
so think about what colours and patterns you wish to use.
2) Ask a grown-up to carefully cut a small hole in the top of the car.
This will be where your racing driver (Lego figure) can sit.
3) Attach four wheels to the car. The best thing to use is bottle
tops, but you could cut out a piece of cardboard. If a grown-up is
able to, then you could make a hole into each bottle top and
connect the wheels using cocktail sticks so they roll,
alternatively just stick or glue these onto the tube.
Once designed and built, build a racetrack out of toys and then race
your car around, just like they do in F1 Racing.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Jesus wants us to ‘shine our light’ for all to see - just like a
lighthouse. But what does that mean?
What do you use a lamp or a torch for? To light up darkness, to see
the way and to help guide you.
JesuJesus tells a story in the bible that encourages people to shine like
bright lights to help others, reflect God’s love and make the world
a better place. (Matthew 5:14-16). God wants us to be like bright
lighthouses, shining God’s light for miles around so everyone can
see it and know God’s love. Just by being good people, helping
others and living a life that pleases God, we are already helping to
shine a light for others to see. Our job is to carry on doing that.
Help yourself to remember that we should be shining light all around, Help yourself to remember that we should be shining light all around,
by creating a lighthouse. You could make one out of craft materials
(kitchen roll tube, plastic cup), build one from Lego or draw one using
colouring pens.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Summer is here and with it we have hotter weather and less
rain. Help the plants to get their much needed water, by giving a
grown-up a hand to water the plants.
Summer usually sees gardens and parks come to life with colourful
flowers and plants which all look great. However, without water to
help keep plants healthy and hydrated, these plants and flowers
can end up dying.
Help a grown-up to water the plants. For this you’ll need a watering Help a grown-up to water the plants. For this you’ll need a watering
can full of water or a hose pipe. Carefully water the plants. Follow
the advice of your grown-up whilst doing this. Could you make this
your job for a whole week?
