The medal of Honor is the highest award for

valor in action against an enemy force which can

be bestowed upon an individual serving in the

armed services of the United States.

Three Guidelines:

1. While engaged in action against foreign enemy.

2. While engaged in military operations involving

conflict with an opposing foreign force.

3. While serving with friendly forces engaged 9in

armed conflict against opposing armed forces

in which U.S. is not a belligerent party.

Lincoln.

S. Dak, the first of January 1891

Four men of his troop drove off a superior

force of the enemy and held his position

against their repeated efforts to capture

27th of July 1898 is when Sunqust earned his

MOH

To earn this he disabled 27 land mines

Private First Class

US Army

October 31, 1918 is when he earned his MOH

Rescued two people 500 yards out past our

friendly lines under heavy machine gun fire
