Very Urgent CasesPlease note: Whilst the unit has full HDU and ICU facilities, it does take over an hour for the hospital to arrange an ambulance. If you feel that your patient will not be clinically stable during this time, then the hospital suggests referral to a local NHS A&E.

1. Contact our 24/7 acute admissions line by dialling 020 7483 5999 and speak to one of our acute admissions advisors

• Provide the AAU advisor with the patient’s medical history and the reason for admission • Your advisor will then book the patient’s room and liaise with the AAU • An ambulance can be arranged • The patient is admitted and immediately assessed on arrival

2. Every GP is kept fully informed about their patient’s treatment and progression throughout their time at the hospital.

How to make an admissionWe strive to make our acute admissions service easy to access and quick to use.
