We are excited for 2017 with its many fantastic opportunities;
including our annual events, support, promotion, and our biennial
Bonnyville & District Oil & Gas Show on June 21 & 22! The Bonnyville
& District Chamber of Commerce is continuously striving to provide our
members with the best support, promotion and advocacy.
We work diligently to strengthen our chamber while providing a
wide variety of benefits to our members and the business community.
We provide resources and support, coordinate special events and
workshops, participate in local partnerships, and develop relationships
with multiple levels of government, various organizations and our
members.
We are excited to continue our partnerships with the Cold Lake
Regional Chamber of Commerce (for our Lakeland Business of the
Year Awards) and the Municipal District of Bonnyville and the Town
of Bonnyville (for various initiatives and tourism). Additionally, we are
delighted to be partnering with new organizations to better support
our members and our community – contact us to learn more about
these partnerships.
Our Value Added Booklet is filled with promotional offers (both from
the chamber and from our membership) available exclusively to our
chamber members. As well as additional value added opportunities
from the Alberta and Canadian Chambers of Commerce. We hope

What Does The Chamber Do?Our mission is “to stimulate and encourage local economic growth
for our members through representation, support and promotion.” This
mission statement directly impacts our focus and provides us with
direction regarding our projects, services, events, and partnerships.
Our chamber of commerce focuses on three main pillars: support,
promotion and advocacy. Support comes from the many connections,
partnerships, and resources we have as a chamber of commerce.
With an access to a wide variety of agencies and organizations who
specialize in supporting new businesses development, entrepreneurs,
and business growth and expansion, we are able to connect our
members and the business community with the resources they need to
support their journey to success.
For promotion, our chamber offers various opportunities for our
members to promote themselves directly to other members, as well
as to the community and district. We currently have promotional
opportunities with our website (business directory and hot deals), m2m
weekly, Facebook, value added booklet, sponsorship opportunities, and
events. We always search for more ways to promote our members, so
check with us regularly for new exciting initiatives.
The final pillar we focus on is advocacy and we work to ensure the
voice of our membership, the business community and our Lakeland
area is heard by all levels of government. Through advocacy, we work
collaboratively with the Alberta and Canadian Chambers of Commerce
to present policy to the provincial and federal government that
supports and protects the success and growth of business. In addition,
we provide letters of support or concern for issues that our community
and businesses experience. If you would like to learn more about any

Who Can Become A Member?All persons, corporations, partnerships or societies directly or indirectly
engaged in trade, commerce or the economic and social welfare of the
District shall be eligible.
What Impact does my Chamber Investment Have?Your chamber membership (investment) allows you to belong
to a collective network that includes over 250 local businesses and
nonprofit organizations. In addition, it connects you the much larger
network of the Alberta Chambers of Commerce with over 24,000
businesses represented and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce with
over 200,000 businesses represented! There is power in solidarity and
you are part of a great movement to advocate, benefit and strengthen

Refreshed, Reloaded & Ready to Work for YouThe chamber’s new website is just one exciting initiative we have
for 2017 and will be operational for April 1st. The new and improved
website will still have features for Member Directory, Member Login,
Upcoming Events and information regarding the Bonnyville & District
Chamber of Commerce and Shaw House. Additionally, the new website
is going to be loaded with new and enhanced features including:
expanded chamber information, more resources and support tools for
our members, highlight events and calendar, tourism, and much more!

all devices and information will be easily accessible. We also have more

The Shaw House is home to

The building’s Great Room is a
vaulted open-concept space with a
cozy fireplace and large windows facing the lake. The wraparound deck
(with outdoor seating) and barbecue are easily accessible and great for
summer events. The lower Snowduster’s Room is a comfortable board
room setting available to host your next meeting, presentation or small
