trim barrel jack leads to desired length
the center of the barrel jack should connect to the positive wire
your multimeter will show zero resistance when you match the center to the correct wire

strip and tin wires, and slide on shrink wrap insulation
NOTE: follow safety instructions on “learning to solder” presentation
shrink wrap insulation
the loose piece of shrink wrap should be slid over the black wire
(just like the red wire)

solder wires
use multi-hands clamps to help hold wire

use heat gun to shrink insulation
keep hands away from outlet of heat gun . . . the air is very HOT!!
