INTRODUCTION

Since the publication of an initial bibliography in

Issue 1 l A of this journal (GASCOIGNE 1993), a

considerable number of further papers on the

fauna of the islands of Principe, S5o TomC e

Annobon have been published. This addendum to

the 1993 bibliography lists these publications

along with earlier ones that were previously not

known to the writer.

As in the original bibliography the

classification follows that used in the Zoological

Record but with some modifications. Thus, for

example, Amphibia and Reptilia have been

combined as the majority of papers on these taxa

refer to both groups. Publications listed under the

General section consist of two types: those that

refer to a variety of taxa and those of a truly more

general nature for example, expedition accounts,

ecology, biographical works etc.
