Downloading & Installing Adesso v5

Step 1: Go To SyncAdmin Once your account manager has registered you in the system, you will receive an automated email with your login details and a link. *Please check your spam box if you do not receive this email in your inbox*

Step 2: Log In To SyncAdmin Once at the SyncAdmin login page, use your email address and the auto-generated password to log in.

Step 3: Change Password Click on “Change Password” in the pane to the left.

Step 3: Change Password • Enter your current password in the first box. • Enter your new password in the second and third boxes, and then click “Change Password.”

Step 4: Download Adesso • Click on “Download Products” in the pane to the left. • Installation files will appear as shown below. • You will need to download Adesso Client 5.0 for PC and Crystal Reports Runtime.

Step 4: Download Adesso • Click on “Adesso Client 5.0 for PC.” • Depending on your browser settings, you will be prompted with the option to Run or Save (eg, Google Chrome does not have the option to “Run”).

Step 4: Download Adesso • Select “Run” to go ahead and run the installation file. • If you are not given the option to “Run” or would prefer to save the file to your PC, click “Save.” Remember the location of the installation file.

Step 5: Install Adesso Version 5 • If you did not select “Run,” then navigate to where you saved the AdessoWin (v5).exe file and open it. • If you receive a message verifying that you want to run the file, click “Run.” • InstallShield will automatically begin.

Step 5: Install Adesso Version 5 • Read through the Adesso License Agreement, and then click Yes to proceed. • The setup wizard will automatically choose a location for the Adesso folder on your computer, or you can click “Browse…” to save the folder somewhere else.

Step 5: Install Adesso Version 5 • Click Next. • Adesso Setup will begin. • Uncheck the box to launch Adesso, and click “Finish.” • Return to SyncAdmin.

Step 6: Download Crystal Reports • Return to Download Products and click on “Crystal Reports Runtime.” • Depending on your browser settings, you will be prompted with the option to Run or Save (again, Google Chrome does not have the option to “Run”).

Step 6: Download Crystal Reports • Select “Run” to go ahead and run the installation file. • If you are not given the option to “Run” or would prefer to save the file to your PC, click “Save.” Remember the location of the installation file.

Step 7: Install Crystal Reports • If you did not select “Run,” then navigate to where you saved the CRRedist2005_x86.msi file and open it. • If you receive a message verifying that you want to run the file, click “Run.” • Installation will automatically begin.

Step 7: Install Crystal Reports • After reading the License Agreement, click on the “I Agree” radio button and then “Next.” • Once the installation is complete, click “Close.”

Step 8: Exit SyncAdmin • Once you have successfully installed Adesso v5 and Crystal Reports, you may close out of SyncAdmin. • The section that follows will take you through your first Adesso session.

Subscribing to Applications

Step 1: Open Adesso You can open Adesso one of two ways: 1) Go to StartAll ProgramsAdesso SystemsAdesso Platform. 2) Find the Adesso icon on your desktop.

Step 2: Validation of License • During your first Adesso session, you will be presented with the following screen (or something similar). • Enter your email address and your chosen password. • Make sure the Server Address is set to digitalformz.net. • DO NOT click “Validate” yet. You will need to complete Step 3 first.

Step 3: Enter Your Proxy Settings • After Entering your E-mail, Password, and Server Address, click on the “Connection Settings” button. • Follow the instructions shown below for updating your proxy settings. • Additional ways to verify your server license are included in the Adesso User Guide.

Check this box. Once you have done this, HTTP proxy should default to be selected.

Enter “proxyeast” as the Address.

Port should default to 8080. Do not change. Enter your LAN ID and current password

here. If you change your LAN password, you will need to update in Adesso, as well.

Step 4: Subscribe to Applications Once you have verified your credentials, you will be presented with a screen similar to the one below. Click “Cancel.”

Step 4: Subscribe to Applications • Make sure you are connected to the Internet (ie, you are able to navigate to websites, etc). • On the Main tab, in the Sync ribbon, click on “Download.” • Select “Subscribed.”

Step 4: Subscribe to Applications • A list of new applications will populate. • Select the checkbox next to the “AEP” folder. • Click OK, and the download process will begin.

Step 5: AutoSync Settings Adesso includes an auto-sync feature that will sync your apps / checklists in the background, without having to click on the sync button. To enable this setting, click on the Options button, go to the Notifications tab, and check the box next to “Enable Auto-syncing.”

Step 5: AutoSync Settings Auto-sync can be set to synchronize server changes only, your local changes only, or both. You can also specify which applications / checklists you want to sync (see below and on the following page).
