ATTENTION! Be sure to use the supplied anti-seize on all threaded fasteners

before installation. This will reduce galling and make future removal of the fasteners easier.

ATTENTION! This procedure requires making permanent modifications to the floorboard; this may void your warranty. Consult your dealer for more information. STEP 2 Remove the floorboard pads from both boards by gently pulling up on the rubber pad, and simultaneously pushing on the rubber darts protruding from the underside of the floorboard assembly as shown in PIC 1. STEP 3 Remove the left and right floorboard assemblies from the bike by removing the e-clip, pin and spring as shown in PIC 2; this hardware will be used again. For Vulcan 1700 and Voyager models: Label the left and right side (sitting on bike) boards. STEP 4 and STEP 5 For Vulcan 1700 and Voyager Models Only—All others proceed to STEP 6 STEP 4 Remove the wear pads from the floorboard bases by removing the two screws securing them in place. NOTE: The left floorboard base will be used on the right side of the bike, the right side floorboard base will be used on the left side. STEP 5 Locate the two un-used stand-offs (PIC 3) located on the underside of the floorboard. Clamp the wear pad in place over these stand-offs lining up the holes and drill using a 13/64 drill bit and secure the wear pad (removed in Step 4) in this location using the included self-tapping screws. Repeat for the other board. STEP 6 Remove the adhesive backing from two thin spacers and one thick spacer; install the spacers on the right plate as shown in PIC 4. STEP 7 Install the right plate on the bottom side of the floorboard, securing with two M6 x 1.0 x 25mm BSCS screws, 1/4” lock washers and 1/4” flat washers as shown in PIC 5 STEP 8 Place the floorboard assembly on a workbench and drill a hole through the footboard assembly from the bottom, using a 1/4” drill bit in the third hole. PIC 5 STEP 9 From the top of the floorboard, place a M6 x 1.0 x 30mm BSCS screw, and 1/4” flat washer through the hole that was just drilled and secure from the underside using a 1/4” flat washer and M6 nylon-locking nut.
