※ Schedule above might be able to be changed following the condition of school.※ As noticed on the homepage of the office of admissions, from this year, 2018, admission for fall semester will be processed once in a year.

※ ELTEC College of Engineering hs received accreditation form Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea(ABEEK) for each undergraduate and graduate majors in the college and the division of Architecture earned the five-year accreditation for its architectural education program. Thus, students in ELTEC College of Engineering will automatically participate in ‘the accreditation program’ when they enroll.

* The field of basic medicine is open to all the candidates even if the candidate did not graduate from the college of medicine(undergraduate).

* Medical Science field is a full time department for applicant who did not graduate from undergraduate-medicine major(including medical school) and Basic medicine in Medicine field(from Anatomy to Medical Ethics in Medicine field’s specialization) is for all applicants regardless of their previous academic background.

* There is a difference between the tuition fee of Medicine and of Medical Science.

03. Number of Students to be Admitted

There is no exact quota for the number of international students to be admitted. Candidates are selected upon review of their academic ability, through a special admission process for foreign students.

04. Eligibility to Apply

Eligible to apply when international applicants satisfy all of the following requirements

1. Nationality: Female foreign nationals whose both parents have foreign nationality ※ Korean citizens(including dual citizenship of applicant and both parents) will not be considered eligible for

admission. ※ Korean who obtained foreign nationality(applicant and both parents) are eligible only if she and her

parents obtained their foreign nationality before entering her secondary school(Grade 10). (Only applicable to undergraduate applicants)

2. Education: Applicants must meet the following academic criteria.

※ Exception will be made if the country’s interdisciplinary academic year and the first day of school are later than those of Korea’s by one month or less.

※ GED, home schooling, cyber schooling or other high school equivalency certificates are not considered as high school diploma.

3. Language Proficiency Requirement: Applicants must meet one of the following language require

ments.

B. Completing Level 4 or above of Korean Language Intensive program in Ewha Language Center ※ The completion of Korean Language Intensive program will be recognized only if the certification is

However, those who are still taking course level 4 during the application period (the certificate of attendance should be submitted first when applying) can be considered to fulfill their language requirement conditionally. Those who are accepted conditionally should submit the certificate of completion as soon as the program is completed. If one fails to submit the certificate of completion or complete the course, the acceptance will be cancelled.

C. The following minimum English proficiency test scores: TOEFL(PBT 550, iBT 80), IELTs 5.5, TEPS 550 ※ English Proficiency Test(TOEFL, IELTS, TEPS) Scores should be submitted before the application

deadline. Or your English proficiency will not be recognized. ※ Undergraduate freshmen or Undergraduate transfer applicants who satisfy the qualification with English

proficiency can only be admitted to departments or majors whose degree programs are conducted in English. But an applicant who applies for academic programs other than that, can be admitted only if the applicant obtains TOPIK level3 within a year after admission and TOPIK lever 4 before the graduation.

D. High school diploma or bachelor’s degree from Korean or English speaking institutions※ Applicants who graduated from Korean or English speaking institutions should submit the certification

certifying that the classes were conducted in Korean or English when applying.

E. Recognition as possessing sufficient proficiency in Korean or English language by Ewha Womans University

A. Any matter not specified in this admissions guide with regard to the university’s special admissions process for international students will be pursuant to the decision of the university’s Admissions Review Committee.

D. 1. Registration of Application Form

A. All applicants should register the application form in accordance with the following procedure.

B. The deadline for application is April 30(Mon), 2018 at 17:00 (Korean Time). The application is accepted when the application fee is paid and required documents are submitted. However, if the internet is disconnected for unavoidable circumstances(ex. local situation), applicants could make an application through postal mail or in person without online application. 2. Obtaining Medical Insurance and Submission of Insurance Certificate

A. All admitted international students must obtain medical insurance. B. Applicants who already have insurance should submit the insurance certificate during the

specified period (in the middle of August). C. If the applicants do not obtain the medical insurance, issuance of the Certificate of

Admission may be limited. ※ International students have to maintain medical insurance during the period of

attendance. If the students do not maintain the medical insurance during the period of attendance, issuance of proof of enrollment may be withheld.

3. Tuition Payment

A. Admitted students who are planning to register, must pay for the tuition fee during the specified period (in the middle of August) to the designated bank.

B. Students receiving admissions from more than two universities in Korea, must choose only one university. If the students violate this rule, their admission offer will be revoked.

4. Submission of Additional Documents for Admitted Students

A. Applicant who is accepted conditionally should submit their TOPIK result or Certificate of Completion (Korean Intensive program Level 4) from Ewha Language Center during the specified period(To Be Announced). If one fails to submit the certificate or the result doesn’t meet our language requirements, the acceptance will be cancelled.

B. Concerning the certificates (including transcripts, diplomas, etc.) given by foreign institutions, students must submit the “Confirmation documents from a foreign educational institute”, or “Confirmation document from consulate or embassy” which are certified and verified by the Korean Embassy where the institution is located by the middle of August. If the students are from countries for Apostille certificates, they can submit an “Apostille certificate” issued by the government where the institute is located.

C. Students who have submitted the Certificate of Prospective Diploma when registering online application must submit the Certificate of Diploma to Ewha Womans University by August 31, 2018.
