Slide 6 - Billing Profile Management

Slide notesA billing profile contains information such as billing frequency, bill type, and billing cycle. End users can associate more than one billing profile with an account, but they must choose one billing profile as the primary billing profile. A  billing profile is generally associated with a billing account and can represent the legally binding agreement between the customer and the service provider. A billing profile might contain information synchronized from an external billing application.  During the order capture process, each communications service is associated with an owner account, a service account, a billing account, and a billing profile.

Slide notesSales reps can create a financial profile  for an account.  The financial profile describes the bank account information,  credit rating,  and DUNS number. The Financial Profile should also talk to 3rd party credit check systems to send the account details and DUNS number and return the Credit Rating.  An account can only have one Financial Profile.

Slide 8 - Update Opportunities from Siebel Quotes

Slide notesWhen the Sales Rep creates an opportunity in Oracle Sales Cloud,  that opportunity is synchronized to Siebel CRM. The Sales Rep creates a quote in Siebel CRM by opening the Full Siebel Application from Oracle Sales Cloud.  Quote Form Applet in Siebel displays the quote header details such as Quote Name, Account, Opportunity, Total, Price List and Line Items details.   The Sales Rep decides to update the existing opportunity in Siebel CRM.  When the opportunity is updated in Siebel CRM,  the integration process should update the opportunity in Oracle Sales Cloud.  The assumption is that the associated opportunity for the quote in Siebel CRM was created from Oracle Sales Cloud.

Slide 9 - Organization Mappings

Slide notesOrganizations are designed to represent the broadest divisions of a company. A Siebel organization controls the data access of the employees that are assigned to it. Organizations can be internal, or they can be external (in the case of Siebel PRM). The organization associated with the employee’s active position determines visibility for the employee. Resources object in Oracle Sales Cloud will be extended to include Organization information for particular resources.  Any resource with non-managerial roles will be assigned to a Parent Res Org as a member with non-managerial Role. Only Resources with Managerial Roles will be part of a Res Org as a member with Managerial Role. This derives the Reporting Hierarchy in OSC.

Slide 10 - Support Shared Address for Accounts and Contacts

Slide notesIn OSC UI, when a user enters an existing address while creating an account or contact, new address records should not be created in the OSC database. The existing address record (if any) should be associated with the newly created accounts and contacts. Furthermore , the newly created accounts and contacts should be synchronized to Siebel and associated with the existing Siebel address record (if any) and no new address records should be created when an address record with the given address already exists.

Slide notesThis setup describes steps to configure Update Opportunities in Oracle Sales Cloud from Siebel Quotes. The following key “UPDATE_OPTY_INTEGUSER” must be entered in Integration Configuration UI. Integration Configuration UI is accessed in Oracle Sales Cloud Home page under Tools application. SYNCAGENT user should be created in Oracle Sales Cloud. Siebel Integration documentation (Integrating Oracle Sales Cloud with Siebel CRM (Doc ID 1670543.1) should contain the steps to create the user and appropriate roles should be assigned to the user. The rest of the steps must be carried out in Siebel CRM.

Slide 63 - Setup Detail – Organization Mappings

Slide notesThis setup describes the steps to handle the organization mappings between Siebel and OSC. Organization hierarchy will be replicated from Siebel to OSC based on the employee data. Resources object must be extended to include an attribute called Organization ID. There are several pre requisites to Organization Mapping. An organization can have only one manager. Org in Fusion can have only one manager so 1:1 mapping is there between Manager and Organization in OSC. The organization cannot be added to the hierarchy as the root node because the hierarchy already has a root node.

Slide 64 - Setup Detail – Organization Mappings

Slide notesThe Resource Object is extended to have 3 custom fields: Position Id, Employee Id, Organization Id, and Remote System. Employee import should populate these fields for all the users. Existing Siebel responsibilities are mapped to custom role names in Oracle Sales Cloud. There is a 1:1 mapping between OOTB Role Code and existing OOTB Role Name in Oracle Sales Cloud. Custom role names are created in Oracle Sales Cloud and mapped to OOTB role codes in Oracle Sales Cloud. Functional Setup Manager (FSM) task Manage Resource Roles is used to create the custom roles in Oracle Sales Cloud and another FSM task Manage HCM Role Provisioning Rules is used to create provisioning assignment between custom OSC role name to OOTB OSC role code such as Sales Manager, Resource. Role code value is used in the import file and Role name is for identification in OSC UI)

Slide 65 - Setup Detail – Organization Mappings

Slide notesEmployee records in Siebel application must be exported before they can be imported into Oracle Sales Cloud. Employee data is located in Employee List applet in Siebel application. Next, employee records are imported into Oracle Sales Cloud using the File Based Data Import utility. Position Organization and Parent Position Organization are two important pieces of information. They should be included in the export file. Once the file is imported into Oracle Sales Cloud, the employee (resources) records are created/updated in Oracle Sales Cloud. The file should contain the PartyId for the resources. The position id of the same resource should be indicated so that the same employee could be updated in Siebel. Siebel UI import tool is used to accomplish the cross referencing between Oracle Sales Cloud and Siebel application. OSC party ids, as Siebel Integration Id, are updated in Siebel during the import process.
