Becoming an adoptive zoo animal parent can be one of the greatest and rewarding experiences – and you don’t even have to hire a babysitter*. Adoptions aid in the care, conservation and well-being of the Zoo animals, as well as, makes a great gift for any occasion. parent infoadoption and zoo stewardshipAll of our Zoo animals, despite size, species, or endangerment, will be sponsored at the same adoption rate. There is no distinction between animals and adoption rates; however, there are different levels of adoption stewardship. All animals (see list in left sidebar) are available to be adopted at all levels of adoption stewardship.

There are four levels of adoption stewardship – Patron, Guardian, Talon and Legacy. The amount of privileges bestowed to the sponsor distinguishes the different levels of adoption. As a thank you for your adoption and support, an appreciation package will be presented at each level of stewardship (see details in the Adoption Levels panel).

SHARE A ZOO ANIMAL? Sure. School classes, church groups, companies, civic clubs, etc., can collectively adopt and share the responsibility of one of our Zoo animals. One stewardship package will be presented to the club, class or organization at the time of adoption.

As an adoption steward, you are supporting the further development and conservation efforts of The Montgomery Zoo in the name of your chosen animal and stewardship level.
