MSCR POLICIESRESIDENCYA resident resides at an address within the MMSD; a resident also includes a student who does not reside at an address within the MMSD, but attends school in the MMSD under the Madison School Board’s Open Enrollment Policy. Non-residents pay 50 percent more than residents except for programs/activities with a different pricing structure such as adult sport leagues and the rental/use of pontoon boats. As of January 1, 2011, the residency policy applies to all classes held at Warner Park CRC.FEE WAIVERFee waivers are available only to MMSD residents. No resident is denied access to MSCR programs based on inability to pay fees. MSCR adult pro-gram fees may be reduced up to 50 percent upon written request of the participant or by agency referral. Eligible adults have income at or below 185 percent of Federal Poverty Level and they must complete a Request for Fee Waiver Form, which is available at the MSCR Office (3802 Regent St.) or online (www.mscr.org). Fee waivers will be limited to one per adult per program session. Fee waiver requests must accompany registration form. Fee waivers will not be granted after registration is processed.REFUNDSFull refunds are made if MSCR cancels programs. Refunds (minus a $5 service charge per transaction) will only be given up to one week prior to the start of class. Letters of credit, which may be used within one year of issue, are available in lieu of refunds. No refunds or credits are given with less than one week’s notice.ACCOMMODATIONS FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES If you have a disability or are the parent/guardian of a child with a disability, and require accommodations to participate, please inform MSCR at the time of registration. POTTERY - VISITING ARTIST DELORES FORTUNAJoin Illinois-based artist, Delores Fortuna, for a day-long workshop focus-ing on using sources to make work more personal. Delores’s work uses basic wheel thrown shapes as starting points. The clay wall becomes a fabric, a diary rich with gestural marks and intent. As a seamstress would cut, fold and dart cloth to make a garment, she uses this clay fabric to shape utilitarian vessels. These vessels ask questions, explore solutions and live in your home. In the morning, the artist shares her approach to clay work; the afternoon is a hands-on workshop to experiment with new techniques.
