Good News Breakfast

April Activities • In April we are going to learn the history of the most famous un-holiday holiday of the month; April Fools’ Day! In addition to the usual pranks (all in good fun of course) we will also get a good laugh or two from a Mad Libs activity and a few other April Fools’ Day themed things.

• On April 11th the Curious Dragonfly will be here to continue her discussion and presentation on the sinking of the Titanic. The first half of the presentation was

absolutely fascinating and I know there are some that are anxiously awaiting the second half of this one.

• On April 12th our participants will be busy hiding Easter eggs for our little friends from the library. Whenever the kiddos from the library join us it’s always a good time. Do you prefer Marshmallow Peeps or Jellybeans as an Easter treat? Learn what your favorite type of Easter candy has to say about your personality.

• Saturday April 22nd is Earth Day! The Friday before we will have a discussion about the history of Earth Day, play a Tree-mendous Trivia game and make crafts out of recycled materials. That being said, we would like to ask for rinsed and clean quart sized plastic containers for one of the crafts.

• Lastly, we had a dry run for this last month; April 28th is National Superhero Day! Come dressed in your favorite superhero t-shirt and show your superhero pride!

Happy AprilBirthdays!

Please Help SRC keep our “late cancellations” and “No Shows” to a minimum. Educating those who use our service is the first step in tackling this issue. When a client fails to complete a scheduled trip it is often difficult to utilize that extra time to serve other clients and the results in loss of time and money. SRC has always tried to work with clients who have no shows and cancels to educate them that it could result in loss of service. We are now taking a more active role in implementing our procedures due to the increased number of repeat offenders.

Starting April 1, 2017 SRC will be implementing and taking action according to policy outlined below.

• No Show= The driver has arrived at the destination, no one takes a trip• Late Cancel= A cancellation has occurred with in 24 hours of the scheduled trip

• 1st Incident: Client will be called and reminded of policy asking that they always cancel a trip they do not need or early cancelation when possible and the possibility of loss of service • 2nd Incident: Client will notified by phone of policy and possible 30 day suspension, those with a subscription will now have to call in trips each week• 3rd incident: Client will be notified by phone and mail of “suspension” of service for 30 days

The good news is that all participants who practice good habits make it possible to complete more trips making everyone happy.
