Adult education is currently believed to be one of the key factors
influencing economicgrowth and social progress of
a developing society. The base for the lifelong education
strategy in the European Union constitutes the Resolution
concerning lifelong learningadopted in June 2002
by the Council of Ministers.

Informal education
Education in the formal education system
covers science in the school system: at primary level, high school, vocational school, some college, higher education and doctoral. It is associated with the regular form of learning.It is conducted by institutions authorized to teach.
Education in the non-formal system
• does not cause changes in the level of education;
• takes the form of training courses of lectures, etc;
• it allows the extension of it’s own competence.
Informal educationPersons who in the course of self-
learning used:• aid of family
members,friends,colleaguesbooks,professional magazines, and other printed materials;
• Computer programs;• Programmes broadcast by radio, tv.
By place of residence
People living in urban areas are more likely to participate in adult
education than people those living in rural areas.
By ageThe older, the less interested in
education.

the higher qualifications, the greater need for training
