National Emergency Management Advanced Academy

Commitment Statement

The National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMAA) consists of four 5-day

resident courses held at the Emergency Management Institute over a period of one (1) fiscal year.

All four (4) courses (E0451, E0452, E0453 and E0454) must be attended in sequence. The series

also includes pre course reading assignments and the completion of a NEMAA Paper submitted during the 3rd class (0453).

By signing this statement, I commit to participate fully in the program’s in-class four (4) courses over

one (1) fiscal year by attending one course per quarter and completing each course in sequence. I

commit to completing all pre course reading assignments and to submitting the NEMAA Paper prior to attending 0453.

1. E0451 Advanced I – A Survey of Advanced Concepts in Emergency Management(delivered 1st Quarter: October - December)

2. E0452 Advanced II – Assessment and Application of Professional Style in EmergencyManagement (delivered 2nd Quarter: January - March)

3. E0453 Advanced III – Advanced Concepts and Issues in the Emergency ManagementOrganization (delivered 3rd Quarter: April - June)

4. E0454 Advanced IV - Advanced Concepts and Issues in the Emergency ManagementCommunity and Profession (delivered 4th Quarter: July - September)
