We specialize in adventure travel because we believe in the idea of organizing a trip to a natural environment or remote location with the specific purpose of active physical participation and the exploration of a new experience through physical expression. Our philosophy is that you can combine luxury adventure travel and local communities into a symbiotic life-changing experience. We seek to achieve a holistic approach to travel, thus working hand-in-hand with community leaders and supporting local employment, social organizations and various development projects to ensures the well being of natural habitats and local communities. In doing this we create travelers not tourists and a platform for exchange with host countries.

We have offices in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, South Africa and East Africa. We run our own operations in East Africa and Asia and have outfitting partnerships in South America, parts of Asia, and the Middle East. We have over a decade of experience running professional and safe adventure trips into remote wilderness areas and the world’s highest peaks. Our on-the-ground approach for our programs is distinct, in that not all of our team are sitting in an office. We have owners and managers who are constantly on reconnaissance for new trips and maintaining partnerships with face to face contact. This operational approach ensures that we are on top of our services, our knowledge, and our commitment to being as close to the ground outfitting as possible. We take pride in having some of the most competent and knowledgeable guides, paying industry-leading wages for porters, and having the most up to date gear & safety devices for your adventure.

Using especially adapted 4 x 4 vehicles and professional guides you head out on safari, staying in a beautiful luxury mobile safari camp to afford you the very best positions for game viewing. This camp is set up in each area exclusive for your own group which reaches no more than 6 people (total 3 tents). This itinerary includes the world famous Okavango Delta ecosystem and Moremi. .:: 8 DAYS ::. Mt Kenya has 3 main peaks – Batian (17,057ft), Nelion (17,021ft) and Lenana (16,355ft). The first 2 peaks are technical climbs whilst Lenana is a non-technical hiking option. This itinerary takes you to the summit of Lenana and in doing so allows you to see the best of Mt Kenya by circumnavigating the peak. (This itinerary can be tailored to suit those individuals who wish to technically ascend Batian and Nelion) A 6 day ascent of Point Lenana starting at Sirimon gate and ending at Chogoria. A private camp is provided throughout with a great crew and porters, led by our excellent guides, and the finale is a nice surprise at Meru Mt Kenya Lodge for a hot shower and cool beer! All the best parts of Mt Kenya, stunning views of the peaks, tarns and fantastic endemic flora. A chance of seeing some wildlife and arguably the prettiest high altitude hike in East Africa. An easy extension includes safari in the Masai Mara to see the Great Migration.

.:: 11 DAYS ::. Morocco is a land of inspiration, exoticism, awe-inspiring scenery, grand architecture and graciously hospitable people. Few places in the world will overwhelm your senses with contrasts as intense as Morocco’s sharp white sun against towering golden limestone cliffs; expansive vistas of palm trees framed in snow-capped peaks; slow-cooked dishes bursting with the flavor of preserved lemons, green olives and cumin; robed and hooded nomads traversing the desert alongside masses of camels, sheep and goats; and narrow, winding medieval streets bustling with merchants, artisans, storytellers and snake charmers. Climb Jebel Mgoun (13,356ft), Morocco’s 2nd highest peak, eat lunch with a sheik and tribe leader of the Ahansal family, hike through remote Berber villages in the Atlas, explore bazaars in Fez and Marrakesh, and (in June) witness the seasonal migration of nomads from the Sahara to the high plateaus of the Atlas Mountains.

The Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route is the best ascent route but this offers the complete Kilimanjaro experience, more acclimatization time, more culture, more spectacular scenery and even a night in Kibo caldera - Plains to Peak! Starting with 2 nights in a wilderness reserve in West Kilimanjaro with the possibility of seeing some of the biggest elephants left in Africa, this trip allows guests to see and learn more about the mountain that has fascinated European explorers since it was first sighted in 1849, standing at 19,341ft. The trip is fully supported with spacious guest tents, mattress and pillow as well as a mess tent with lightweight tables and chairs and all cutlery. Our trips also include a toilet tent in camp and most importantly knowledgeable professional guides that go through bi annual training. .:: 5 DAYS ::. A chance to look into the eyes of our closest relatives in the heart of Africa. With very restricted and controlled access these tours should be booked well in advance and with high permit fees, this is an expensive add on to an East African safari, but as one guest put it: “It is worth it!” This trip takes you into the forested slopes of the Virunga volcanoes in Rwanda. Volcanoes National Park (Parc Nacional des Volcans) is the refuge of the last mountain gorillas and only a few habituated families are allowed to be visited. This trip is designed to go to Mt Stanley plateau, and for those who have the will to get to Margherita Peak, then our teams will get you up to the 3rd highest peak in Africa at 16,763ft! Getting to Margherita Peak is more of a hard scramble, but when it snows, can be a bit more difficult. The real beauty lies in walking up to the peaks, where trees are alive with birds and primates such as resident chimpanzees. .:: 14 DAYS ::. This off-the-beaten trek gets high into the Himalayas. First you make a short flight to the apple orchards of Phaplu and then follow the Dudhkunda Khola valley to the sherpa settlement of Ringmo. This pilgrim route climbs out of sherpa setlements and onto the high pastures. The main ascent culminates at the turguoise green Dudh Kunda Lake, which makes a grand view with peaks over 19,000ft behind it. After descending into green valleys you visit old Buddhist monasteries with meditation huts clinging on steep hillsides. .:: 16 DAYS ::. A classic off the beaten trail northeast of Kathmandu in the shadows of the Jugal mountains. The villages inhabited by Tamang and sherpa are very isolated. From the fishing town of Dalolghat you take a jeep road to the bazaar of Chautara. From here you begin your trek north, entering Langtang National Park, haven of the Red Panda, Thar, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Himalayan Black Bear and the Snow Leopard. You travel from villages to alpine pastures and get close to massifs. The pilgrim route leads to 5 sacred ponds that lie at 15,000ft. You descent is into the rice growing Indrawati valley and nestled deep in a magnolia forest is the welcoming Buddhist monastery of Bagam Ghyang. Finish off at the Malemchi Pul Bazaar. .:: 8 DAYS ::. Most people are not aware of how stunning the Fann Mountains are of Tajikistan, to the west, bordering Uzbekistan. The Fann Mountains of the Great Pamir are situated in the very heart of Central Asia. This classic journey once only undertaken by pilgrims who were ready for a long and arduous travel begins with a flight to the hot plains of Nepali’s Tarai mountain airstirp of Simikot. Spend time acclimatizing and then follow six days though hills and valleys beside the Humla Karnali river to the Tibetan border at Hilsa. An unforgettable trek, where the Tibetan plateau unfolds before you as you cross the Nara Langna Pass. Off road jeeps and support trucks rendezvous with you at Sher on the Tibetan side and soon after Chinese Immigration formalities, you accelerate north to the town of Purang, before nightfall reaching camp on the shores of sacred Lake Manasarowar. You witness a morning Puja (religious ceremony) at the local monastery and then continue under the shadow of Mt Kailash. From the sacred mountain you move west to an ancient monastery and cave shrine at Gurugem Gompa and then through hot spring country to the ancient Guge Kingdom at Toling through moonscape valleys. The trip takes you to the base of Mt Kailash to begin a 4 days circumnavigation trek with yaks carrying your kit. An excellent training hike for those continuing to bigger peaks like Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua! This world-class Mt Whitney adventure ascends the summit from the west. The hike has stunning views of the landscapes of Sequoia National Park and Cottonwood Pass with alpine lakes, lush meadows, and multiple peaks. Ascending from Guitar Lake allows for a short ascent. Pack mules follow the group so you can travel light during the day. The summit is the tallest peak outside Asia, being the highest point in the Western and Southern Hemispheres. Starting and ending from the city of Mendoza, Argentina. Our team of guides, porters, cooks, and mules will provide the logistical support to get you to the 22,840ft peak in the Andes mountain range. .:: 17 DAYS ::. Bolivia is still an off-the-beaten track destination. The classic ‘Transcordillera Trek’, one of Bolivia’s most popular treks, despite its low difficulty, presents a challenge for all hikers. The trail meanders across the Royal Mountain Range without coming back on its steps and follows paths of the indigenous Aymaras. From end to end, the landscapes are breathtaking. The journey traverses the Cordillera Real and covers more than 100 miles across the entire range, beginning in Sorata town, at the north face of Illampu and ending on the eastern side of Huayna Potosi in Chacapampa village. This high altitude trek crosses three passes over 16,000ft, provides a range of diverse scenery and ecosystems, lush forests, high alpine valleys, picturesque lakes, and snow-capped peaks. You will also hike through remote Quechua indian villages and gain insight into the life of this high and wild landscape. This trip can be extended to include the famous Uyuni Salt Flats and volcano hiking.

This trip explores the world famous region of southern Chile, Torres del Paine National Park. From granite peaks to the dense trails in the forest. .:: 8 DAYS ::. Ecuador, Jewel of the Andes, presents a relatively untraveled paradise for the beginning climber. Perhaps nowhere else on Earth does the combination of high mountains and easy accessibility exist in such close proximity. The Cotopaxi volcano is one of the most incredible mountains in Ecuador and also, one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. At an incredible 19,347ft it rises from the Oriental Andes Mountain Range in a perfectly symmetric conic form that is entirely covered in snow. In Cotopaxi National Park are also several of Ecuador’s most important mountains. These mountains provide a natural habitat for an amazing array of wildlife including llamas, foxes, rabbits, wild horses, and the Condor. Ascending the Cotopaxi is an extraordinary adventure for any mountain climber. Using a beautiful hacienda as you base, this trip includes great acclimatization hikes and thereafter what is considered one of the most stunning ascents in South America. We highly suggest extending your stay and head to the Galapagos islands to explore or go diving from your private catamaran or boat!

.:: 10 DAYS ::. This trip is an alternate version of the classic Inca Trail to experience the world famous and iconic, Machu Picchu. This lodge-to-lodge trek enjoys the comfort and service of quality mountain lodges. This journey will take you up to magnificent mountain passes, enjoying enormous and mystical snow-capped peaks. The Salkantay Trail offers a chance to trek on a path that is less crowded than the classic Inca Trail. You are able to have cultural interactions with locals who still remain closely attached to their heritage, from pastoralists to coffee farmers. Beginning in Cusco, spend your first day on an acclimatizing hike to the Sacred Valley before starting your trek. After the 6-day trek along the Salkantay, spend a few nights in Aguas Calientes, so that you are able to explore the ruins of Machu Picchu at a slow pace and even hike up to the top of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu. Depart on a train back to Cusco and extend your visit in Peru to Lake Titicaca or Manu National Park, where the Andes meets the Amazon - and home to wild jaguars!

.:: 12 DAYS ::. Roraima Tepui, one of the largest and highest mesas in the world, sits on the triple border of Venezuela, Brazil, and Guyana. This plateau is home to an abundance of endemic flora and fauna species, and is considered one of the oldest geological formations on Earth. Roughly half of the flora identified on the ‘Lost World’ exists only on Roraima and nowhere else. Isolated from each other and towering over the savannah, these fascinating mesas are biological wonders. This fully supported trek is one of the most unique hikes from being able to shower in rivers at camp & bathing in crystal pools to discovering a carnivorous plant species in a land before time. From here, continue your journey to visit the highest waterfall in the world, Angel Falls. You fly into Canaima National Park with views of massive waterfalls on a Tepuis filled background. You venture by boat into the tropical vegetation to the incredible sight of Angel Falls. This is an outdoor adventure, staying in a basic camp at the foot of the falls before returning. Guests are encouraged to hike to the viewpoint of Angel Falls to get amazing views and swim in the pools at the base of the Falls. We suggest an extension trip to the Carribean Archipelago Los Roques!

Our group sizes are limited to 12, a number we have found to be very manageable in the field for group travel (most 4x4 vehicles can carry maximum of 6 people each).
