OFFICE RENOVATIONS FOR CLEVELAND COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
1.1 PROJECT INFORMATION
A. Cleveland County is soliciting informal bids for Office Renovations for Cleveland County Animal Shelter, Shelby, North Carolina, ESD project number 16-208-000 as shown on drawings dated 9-2-2016.
B. This bid is only for work on the inside of the building, in the attic and in the crawl space as shown. Some of the work shown on the inside has been completed. Contractor shall be responsible for visiting site and verifying what has been completed and shall be responsible for providing everything necessary for the project to be completed as shown.
C. Bid shall include architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical and electrical trades.
1.2 BID SUBMITTAL AND OPENING
A. Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
1. Bid Date: November 10th, 2016 2. Bid Time: 3:30 p.m., local time 3. Location: Conference Room of the Self McNeilly Landfill Office at 250 Fielding Road,
Cherryville, NC 28021
B. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
C. BID SECURITY, PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS
D. Bid security, Performance and Payments Bonds are not required.
1.3 BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS
A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Bidders must hold requisite North Carolina licenses. Bidders shall have proper liability and workers compensation insurance and be able to produce proof of such.
1.4 MINORITY PARTICIPATION
A. Cleveland County has a goal of 10% Minority Participation. Successful bidder shall provide proof of good faith effort to achieve the stated goal.
