The ValueJet 1638UH is Mutoh’s first ever dual head

LED UV printer delivering increased print and cure

performance. At 64” wide, the VJ-1638UH is all

about versatility and creativity; it is the ideal tool to expand

your business with the widest possible commercial print

applications and offers true photo quality output.

Along with the 2 x CMYK set up, you have the option

to add white and varnish to get really creative and to

handle transparent or non white substrates. The white

and varnish can be run in any shape using Spot Colour

Selection in Adobe Illustrator to give texture – these layers

can be repeated up to 10 times to make the output really

stand out. You can also alter the opacity levels in the

RIP, the RIP also allows the layers to be put down in any

order, so you can slowly build texture for even more

creative effects.

As a result, the ValueJet 1638UH is perfect for high

quality graphics at short viewing distances such as trade

show graphics, POP and retail signage, banners, wallpaper,

interior decoration, small lot and packaging prototypes –

its applications are only limited by imagination.

Most importantly, the LED UV inks contain no VOC’s –

no ozone is generated so no air filtering is required – this

is unique in the current marketplace. At Fespa 2017,

Mutoh will be launching flexible inks for the ValueJet

1638UH and its single headed sister product,

the ValueJet 1626UH. These inks open up

even more opportunities for the user – not

only for applications such as vehicle wraps,

but other flexible substrates, such as leather

for example.

All of Mutoh’s ValueJet printers including the ValueJet

1638UH integrate Mutoh’s proprietary print technology

called Intelligent Interweaving (I2). One of its benefits is

the reduction of the curing structure in the ink layer and

gloss banding suppression. This is especially noticeable

in different solids and certain colours compared to

other printers.
