Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally decided to tie the knot. Although Pitt proposed to Jolie over the Christmas holiday, the news has finally surfaced as Jolie sports her new diamond ring. The ring is estimated to be worth $500,000 and took Pitt a year to design with jeweler Robert Procop.
The couple has been together for seven years now and they have a total of six children together, three of which are adopted. Although marriage was always an option, their children put pressure on them to get engaged. Pitt and Jolie began their relationship while they were filming Mr. and Mrs. Smith together a month after Pitt’s divorce from Jennifer Aniston was finalized in 2005.
Happy couple Alec Baldwin and yoga instructor, Hilaria Thomas, also announced their engagement on April 2. That same weekend, country singer Jessie James and her boyfriend Eric Decker of the Denver Broncos were engaged.
Decker popped the question during a romantic getaway for the couple’s one year anniversary.
As of now, no couples have officially announced any wedding dates, though fans hope to see some soon.
