Surah 77

ف2ا ت8 ع6ر4 ال: س: 4م6ر4 و:ال[Shakir 77:1] I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit),

4ع:اص8ف:ات8 ع:ص4ف2ا ف:ال[Shakir 77:2] By the raging

hurricanes,

ا ر2 :ش4 ات8 ن ر: Nاش8 و:الن[Shakir 77:3] Which scatter

clouds to their destined places,

ق2ا 4ف:ار8ق:ات8 ف:ر4 ف:ال[Shakir 77:4] Then separate

them one from another,

ا 4ر2 :ات8 ذ8ك 4ق8ي 4م6ل ف:ال[Shakir 77:5] Then I swear by the angels who bring down the

revelation,

ا 6ذ4ر2 و4 ن: ا أ ع6ذ4ر2

[Shakir 77:6] To clear or to warn.

:و:اق8ع^ 6وع:د6ون: ل Nم:ا ت 8ن إ[Shakir 77:7] Most surely

what you are threatened with must come to pass.

jج6وم6 ط6م8س:ت4 8ذ:ا الن ف:إ[Shakir 77:8] So when the stars are made to lose their

light,

م:اء ف6ر8ج:ت4 N8ذ:ا الس و:إ[Shakir 77:9] And when the

heaven is rent asunder,

ف:ت4 6س8 :ال6 ن ب 4ج8 8ذ:ا ال ~ و:إ[Shakir 77:10] And when the mountains are carried away as

dust,

:ت4 6قrت س6ل6 أ j8ذ:ا الر و:إ[Shakir 77:11] And when the messengers are gathered at

their appointed time

ل:ت4 r6ج t أ :و4م يr ي: أل8

[Shakir 77:12] To what day is the doom fixed?

4ف:ص4ل8 8 ال :و4م 8ي ل[Shakir 77:13] To the day of

decision.

4ف:ص4ل8 :و4م6 ال اك: م:ا ي د4ر:: و:م:ا أ

[Shakir 77:14] And what will make you comprehend what

the day of decision is?

8ين: :ذrب 4م6ك rل 8ذt ل :و4م:ئ 4ل ي و:ي[Shakir 77:15] Woe on that

day to the rejecters.

8ين: وNل: 6ه4ل8ك8 األ4 :م4 ن :ل أ

[Shakir 77:16] Did We not destroy the former

generations?

خ8ر8ين: 8ع6ه6م6 اآل4 4ب 6ت 6مN ن ث[Shakir 77:17] Then did We

follow them up with later ones.

4م6ج4ر8م8ين: 8ال :ف4ع:ل6 ب 8ك: ن :ذ:ل ك[Shakir 77:18] Even thus shall

We deal with the guilty.



tه8ينNاء مNن مrم مj 6قك ل :خ4 :م4 ن :ل أ[Shakir 77:20] Did We not

create you from contemptible water?

tك8ينNم tار :اه6 ف8ي ق:ر: 4ن ف:ج:ع:ل[Shakir 77:21] Then We

placed it in a secure resting-place,

t 6وم 8ل:ى ق:د:رt مNع4ل إ[Shakir 77:22] Till an

appointed term,

ون: 4ق:اد8ر6 8ع4م: ال :ا ف:ن ن ف:ق:د:ر4[Shakir 77:23] So We

proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things).



2ا 8ف:ات ر4ض: ك: :ج4ع:ل8 األ4 :م4 ن :ل أ

[Shakir 77:25] Have We not made the earth to draw

together to itself,

2ا م4و:ات: :اء و:أ ي :ح4 أ

[Shakir 77:26] The living and the dead,

tام8خ:ات و:اس8ي: ش: :ا ف8يه:ا ر: 4ن و:ج:ع:ل2ا ات 6م مNاء ف6ر: :اك 4ن ق:ي س4

: و:أ[Shakir 77:27] And made

therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet

water?

8ين: :ذrب 4م6ك rل 8ذt ل 4ل يو4م:ئ و:ي[Shakir 77:28] Woe on that


8ه8 6م ب 6نت 8ل:ى م:ا ك 8ق6وا إ انط:ل6ون: :ذrب 6ك ت

[Shakir 77:29] Walk on to that which you called a lie.

ث8 :ال: 8ل:ى ظ8ل� ذ8ي ث 8ق6وا إ انط:لtع:ب ش6

[Shakir 77:30] Walk on to the covering having three

branches,

Nه:ب8 8ي م8ن: الل 6غ4ن 8يلt و:ال: ي ال: ظ:ل[Shakir 77:31] Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame.

4ق:ص4ر8 :ال رt ك ر: 8ش: م8ي ب :ر4 Nه:ا ت 8ن إ[Shakir 77:32] Surely it sends

up sparks like palaces,

:ت ص6ف4ر Nه6 ج8م:ال ن: :أ ك

[Shakir 77:33] As if they were tawny camels.



:نط8ق6ون: :و4م6 ال: ي ه:ذ:ا ي[Shakir 77:35] This is the day on which they shall not speak,

ون: :ذ8ر6 :ع4ت :ه6م4 ف:ي 6ؤ4ذ:ن6 ل و:ال: ي[Shakir 77:36] And

permission shall not be given to them so that they should

offer excuses.



6م4 :اك 4ف:ص4ل8 ج:م:ع4ن :و4م6 ال ه:ذ:ا ي8ين: وNل

: و:األ4[Shakir 77:38] This is the day of decision: We have gathered

you and those of yore.

4د ف:ك8يد6ون8 :ي 6م4 ك :ك :ان: ل 8ن ك ف:إ[Shakir 77:39] So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now).



t6ون لt و:ع6ي Nق8ين: ف8ي ظ8ال: 4م6ت 8نN ال إ

[Shakir 77:41] Surely those who guard (against evil) shall

be amid shades and fountains,

:ه6ون: ت :ش4 8ه: م8مNا ي و:ف:و:اك[Shakir 77:42] And fruits such

as they desire.

6م4 6نت 8م:ا ك 2ا ب 8يئ 6وا ه:ن ب ر: 6وا و:اش4 6ل ك:ع4م:ل6ون: ت

[Shakir 77:43] Eat and drink pleasantly because of what you

did.

نين: 4م6ح4س8 :ج4ز8ي ال 8ك: ن :ذ:ل Nا ك 8ن إ[Shakir 77:44] Surely thus do We reward the doers of good.

[Shakir 77:46] Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little; surely

you are guilty.

do not bow down.

[78:14] And We send down from the clouds water pouring forth abundantly,

appointed:[78:18] The day on which the trumpet shall be

blown so you shall come forth in hosts,

[78:20] And the mountains shall be moved off so that they shall remain a mere semblance.

[78:22] A place of resort for the inordinate,[78:23] Living therein for ages.

[78:24] They shall not taste therein cool nor drink

[78:25] But boiling and intensely cold water,[78:26] Requital corresponding.

[78:27] Surely they feared not the account,

[78:28] And called Our communications a lie, giving the lie (to the truth).

[78:29] And We have recorded everything in a book,

[78:30] So taste! for We will not add to you aught but chastisement.

[79:1] I swear by the angels who violently pull out the souls of the wicked,

[79:2] And by those who gently draw out the souls of the blessed,

[79:3] And by those who float in space,

[79:8] Hearts on that day shall palpitate,[79:9] Their eyes cast down.

[79:10] They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state?

[79:11] What! when we are rotten bones?[79:12] They said: That then would be a return

occasioning loss.

ý14þ ãTáoãÎCáätÂCãQ ÈâÎ BálãIá¶ý15þ ÔásÒâÆ â]Öãkác á½CáWF åÄáÎ

[79:13] But it shall be only a single cry,[79:14] When lo! they shall be wakeful.

[79:15] Has not there come to you the story of Musa?

ý18þ Ôáä¾áqáW ÉáF ÔáÂãH áÀáäÂ ÄáÎ åÄâ»á¶

[79:16] When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice,

[79:17] Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate.

[79:18] Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself:

ý20þ ÓáoåRâ¿åÂB áUáÖåÝB âÍBánáGá¶

ý21þ Ôá|á®áÑ áPáämá¿á¶[79:19] And I will guide you to your Lord so that

you should fear.[79:20] So he showed him the mighty sign.

[79:21] But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed.

ý22þ Ôá¯åtáÖ áoáQåjáF áäÈâ[ý23þ ÓájCáËá¶ áoáxádá¶

ý24þ ÔáÃå®áåÛB âÈâ¿âäQán CáÊáF áÁCá»á¶

[79:22] Then he went back hastily.[79:23] Then he gathered (men) and called out.[79:24] Then he said: I am your lord, the most

high.

ý27þ CáÎCáËáQ ACáÇáätÂB ãÅáF Cæ»åÃág âäkáwáF åÈâXÊáFáF

[79:25] So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life.

[79:26] Most surely there is in this a lesson to him who fears.

[79:27] Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it.

á¡ånáåÛBáÑ[79:28] He raised high its height, then put it into a

right good state.[79:29] And He made dark its night and brought

out its light.[79:30] And the earth, He expanded it after that.

ý32þ CáÎCásånáF áÁCáRã`åÂBáÑý33þ åÈâ¿ãÆCá¯åÊáãÛáÑ åÈâ¿áäÂ

Cæ®CáXáÆ[79:31] He brought forth from it its water and its

pasturage.[79:32] And the mountains, He made them firm,[79:33] A provision for you and for your cattle.

ý35þ Ôá¯ás CáÆ âÉCátÊãåßB âoáä¾ámáXáÖ áÅåÒáÖ

[79:34] But when the great predominating calamity comes;

[79:35] The day on which man shall recollect what he strove after,

[79:36] And the hell shall be made manifest to him who sees

[79:38] And prefers the life of this world,[79:39] Then surely the hell, that is the abode.

[79:40] And as for him who fears to stand in the presence of his Lord and forbids the soul from

low desires,[79:41] Then surely the garden-- that is the

abode.[79:42] They ask you about the hour, when it

will come.

[79:43] About what! You are one to remind of it.[79:44] To your Lord is the goal of it.

[79:45] You are only a warner to him who would fear it.

[80:19] Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure,

[80:20] Then (as for) the way-- He has made it easy (for him)

[80:21] Then He causes him to die, then assigns to him a grave,

life again.[80:23] Nay; but he has not done what He bade

an affair which will occupy him.[80:38] (Many) faces on that day shall be bright,

[80:39] Laughing, joyous.

prepared.[81:15] But nay! I swear by the stars,

[81:17] And the night when it departs,[81:18] And the morning when it brightens,

messenger,[81:20] The processor of strength, having an

honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion,[81:21] One (to be) obeyed, and faithful in trust.

[81:23] And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon.

[81:24] Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer.

before and held back.[82:6] O man ! what has beguiled you from your

Lord, the Gracious one,

[82:7] Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical?

[82:8] Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you.

[82:9] Nay! but you give the lie to the judgment day,

[82:10] And most surely there are keepers over you

[82:11] Honorable recorders,[82:12] They know what you do.

[82:13] Most surely the righteous are in bliss,[82:14] And most surely the wicked are in

burning fire,[82:15] They shall enter it on the day of

judgment.

CáÆ áäÈâ[[82:16] And they shall by no means be absent

from it.[82:17] And what will make you realize what the

day of judgement is?[82:18] Again, what will make you realize what

the day of judgment Is?

[82:19] The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on

that day shall be entirely Allah's.

åBÒâÂCáXå¾B BálãH áÌÖãmáäÂBý3þ áÉÑâoãtåhâÖ åÈâÎÒâÊápáäÑ ÑáF

åÈâÎÒâÂCá¾ BálãHáÑ[83:1] Woe to the defrauders,

[83:2] Who, when they take the measure (of their dues) from men take it fully,

[83:3] But when they measure out to others or weigh out for them, they are deficient.

[83:4] Do not these think that they shall be raised again

[83:5] For a mighty day,[83:6] The day on which men shall stand before

the Lord of the worlds?

[83:7] Nay! most surely the record of the wicked is in the Sijjin.

[83:8] And what will make you know what the Sijjin is?

[83:9] It is a written book.

ý11þ ãÌÖãäkÂB ãÅåÒá×ãQ áÉÒâQãämá¿âÖ áÌÖãmáäÂB

ý12þ èÈ×ã[áF èkáXå¯âÆ âäÄâ¾ áäÙãH ãÐãQ âPãämá¿âÖ CáÆáÑ

[83:10] Woe on that day to the rejecters,[83:11] Who give the lie to the day of judgment.

[83:12] And none gives the lie to it but every exceeder of limits, sinful one

ý15þ áÉÒâQÒâ`ådáÇáäÂ èmãNáÆåÒáÖ åÈãÏãäQáän Ìá® åÈâÏáäÊãH áäÚá¾

[83:13] When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.

[83:14] Nay! rather, what they used to do has become like rust . upon their hearts.

[83:15] Nay! most surely they shall on that day be debarred from their Lord.

ÕãmáäÂB BámáÎ âÁCá»âÖ áäÈâ[ý18þ áÌ×ãä×ãäÃã® Øã·áÂ ãnBáoåQáåÛB

áPCáXã¾ áäÉãH áäÚá¾

[83:16] Then most surely they shall enter the burning fire.

[83:17] Then shall it be said: This is what you gave the lie to.

[83:18] Nay! Most surely the record of the righteous shall be in the Iliyin.

ý19þ áÉÒâä×ãäÃã® CáÆ á½BánåjáF CáÆáÑ

ý20þ çÅÒâºåoáäÆ çPCáXã¾ý21þ áÉÒâQáäoá»âÇåÂB âÍâkáÏåxáÖ

[83:19] And what will make you know what the highest Iliyin is?

[83:20] It is a written book,[83:21] Those who are drawn near (to Allah)

shall witness it.

ý22þ èÈ×ã¯áÊ Øã·áÂ ánBáoåQáåÛB áäÉãHý23þ áÉÑâoâ«ËáÖ ãÀãMBánáåÛB ÔáÃá®ý24þ ãÈ×ã¯áäËÂB áTáoå£áÊ åÈãÏãÎÒâ_âÑ

Øã¶ âµãoå¯áW

[83:22] Most surely the righteous shall be in bliss,[83:23] On thrones, they shall gaze;

[83:24] You will recognize in their faces the brightness of bliss.

ý25þ èÅÒâXåháäÆ è¼×ãcáän ÌãÆ áÉåÒá»åtâÖý26þ áÉÒâtã¶CáËáXâÇåÂB ãuá¶CáËáXá×åÃá¶

áÀãÂál Øã¶áÑ çÀåtãÆ âÐâÆCáXãgý27þ èÈ×ãËåtáW ÌãÆ âÐâ_BáqãÆáÑ

[83:25] They are made to quaff of a pure drink that is sealed (to others).

[83:26] The sealing of it is (with) musk; and for that let the aspirers aspire.

[83:27] And the admixture of it is a water of Tasnim,

áÉÒâ¿ádå£áÖ BÒâËáÆD áÌÖãmáäÂB áÌãÆ åBÒâÊCá¾ BÒâÆáoå_áF áÌÖãmáäÂB áäÉãH

[83:28] A fountain from which drink they who are drawn near (to Allah).

[83:29] Surely they who are guilty used to laugh at those who believe.

ý32þ áÉÒâäÂCá£áÂ AáÙâKáÎ áäÉãH BÒâÂCáº åÈâÎåÑáFán BálãHáÑ

[83:30] And when they passed by them, they winked at one another. [83:31] And when they returned to their own

followers they returned exulting.[83:32] And when they saw them, they said:

Most surely these are in error;

ý35þ áÉÑâoâ«ËáÖ ãÀãMBánáåÛB ÔáÃá®[83:33] And they were not sent to be keepers over

them. [83:34] So today those who believe shall laugh at the

unbelievers;[83:35] On thrones, they will look.

[83:36] Surely the disbelievers are rewarded as they did.

[84:1] When the heaven bursts asunder,[84:2] And obeys its Lord and it must.

[84:3] And when the earth is stretched,

[84:5] And obeys its Lord and it must.

[84:6] O man! surely you must strive (to attain) to your Lord, a hard striving until you meet Him. [84:7] Then as to him

who is given his book in his right hand,

[84:8] He shall be reckoned with by an easy reckoning,

[84:9] And he shall go back to his people joyful. [84:10] And as to him who is given his book behind his back,

[84:11] He shall call for perdition,[84:12] And enter into burning fire.

[84:13] Surely he was (erstwhile) joyful among his followers.

ý14þ ánÒâdáÖ ÌáäÂ ÉáF áäÌáª âÐáäÊãHý15þ Bæo×ã|áQ ãÐãQ áÉCá¾

âÐáäQán áäÉãH ÔáÃáQý16þ ã¼á·áäxÂCãQ âÈãtåºâF áÚá¶

[84:14] Surely he thought that he would never return.

[84:15] Yea! surely his Lord does ever see him.

[84:16] But nay! I swear by the sunset redness,

[84:17] And the night and that which it drives on,[84:18] And the moon when it grows full,

[84:19] That you shall most certainly enter one state after another.

[84:20] But what is the matter with them that they do not believe,

[84:21] And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance?

ý24þ èÈ×ãÂáF èPBámá¯ãQ ÈâÎåoãäxáRá¶[84:22] Nay! those who disbelieve give the lie to

the truth.[84:23] And Allah knows best what they hide,

[84:24] So announce to them a painful punishment~

[85:19] Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth.

[87:4] And Who brings forth herbage,[87:5] Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.

[87:6] We will make you recite so you shall not forget,

ý7þ Ôá·åháÖ CáÆáÑ áoåÏá`åÂB âÈáÃå¯áÖ âÐáäÊãH âÐáäÃÂB ACáw CáÆ áäÙãHý8þ Óáoåtâ×åÃãÂ á½âoãätá×âÊáÑý9þ Óáoå¾ãämÂB ãYá¯á·áäÊ ÉãH

åoãä¾ámá¶[87:7] Except what Allah pleases, surely He knows

the manifest, and what is hidden.[87:8] And We will make your way smooth to a

state of ease.[87:9] Therefore do remind, surely reminding

does profit.

[87:10] He who fears will mind,[87:11] And the most unfortunate one will avoid

it,[87:12] Who shall enter the great fire;

áoá¾áláÑ[87:13] Then therein he shall neither live nor die.

[87:14] He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,

[87:15] And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays.

BámáÎ áäÉãH[87:16] Nay! you prefer the life of this world,[87:17] While the hereafter is better and more

lasting.[87:18] Most surely this is in the earlier

[88:1] Has not there come to you the news of the overwhelming calamity?

[88:2] (Some) faces on that day shall be downcast,

[88:4] Entering into burning fire,[88:5] Made to drink from a boiling spring.

[88:6] They shall have no food but of thorns,

hunger.[88:8] (Other) faces on that day shall be happy,[88:9] Well-pleased because of their striving,

[88:10] In a lofty garden,[88:11] Wherein you shall not hear vain talk.

[88:12] Therein is a fountain flowing,

ý13þ çUá®Òâ¶åoáäÆ çnâoâs CáÏ×ã¶ý14þ çUá®Òâ¢åÒáäÆ çPBáÒå¾áFáÑ

[88:13] Therein are thrones raised high,[88:14] And drinking-cups ready placed,

[88:15] And cushions set in a row,

ÔáÂãH áÉÑâoâ«ËáÖ áÚá¶áFý18þ åYá¯ã¶ân á¸å×á¾ ACáÇáätÂB

ÔáÂãHáÑ[88:16] And carpets spread out.

[88:17] Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created?

[88:18] And the heaven, how it is reared aloft,

[88:19] And the mountains, how they are firmly fixed,

[88:20] And the earth, how it is made a vast expanse?

[88:21] Therefore do remind, for you are only a reminder.

[88:22] You are not a watcher over them;[88:23] But whoever turns back and disbelieves,[88:24] Allah will chastise him with the greatest

chastisement.

[89:1] I swear by the daybreak,[89:2] And the ten nights,

[89:3] And the even and the odd,

áoáW åÈáÂáF[89:4] And the night when it departs.

[89:5] Truly in that there is an oath for those who possess understanding.

[89:6] Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with Ad,

buildings,[89:8] The like of which were not created in the

(other) cities;[89:9] And (with) Samood, who hewed out the

rocks in the valley,

å¾áGá¶[89:10] And (with) Firon, the lord of hosts,

[89:11] Who committed inordinacy in the cities,[89:12] So they made great mischief therein?

[89:13] Therefore your Lord let down upon them a portion of the chastisement.

[89:14] Most sure!y your Lord is watching.

[89:15] And as for man, when his Lord tries him, then treats him with honor and makes him lead

an easy life, he says: My Lord honors me.

[89:16] But when He tries him (differently), then straitens to him his means of subsistence, he

says: My Lord has disgraced me.

ý19þ CæäÇáäÂ æÚå¾áF áZBáoâäXÂB áÉÒâÃâ¾åGáWáÑ

[89:17] Nay! but you do not honor the orphan,[89:18] Nor do you urge one another to feed the

poor,[89:19] And you eat away the heritage, devouring (everything) indiscriminately,

[89:20] And you love wealth with exceeding love.[89:21] Nay! when the earth is made to crumble

to pieces,[89:22] And your Lord comes and (also) the

angels in ranks,

[89:23] And hell is made to appear on that day. On that day shall man be mindful, and what shall

being mindful (then) avail him?

ý26þ çkácáF âÐáºCá[áÑ â¼ã[ÒâÖ áÙáÑ[89:24] He shall say: O! would that I had sent

before for (this) my life![89:25] But on that day shall no one chastise

with (anything like) His chastisement,[89:26] And no one shall bind with (anything

like) His binding.

[90:4] Certainly We have created man to be in distress.

[90:5] Does he think that no one has power over him?

[90:11] But he would not attempt the uphill road,

[90:12] And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is?

[92:10] We will facilitate for him the difficult end.[92:11] And his wealth will not avail him when

[96:13] Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back?

[96:14] Does he not know that Allah does see?[96:15] Nay! if he desist not, We would certainly

smite his forehead,

[96:18] We too would summon the braves of the army.

[98:3] Wherein are all the right ordinances.

BÒâWåKâÖáÑ áTáÚáä|ÂB BÒâÇ×ã»âÖáÑý5þ

[98:5] And they were not enjoined anything except that they should serve Allah, being sincere to

Him in obedience, upright, and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, and that is the right

religion.

[98:8] Their reward with their Lord is gardens of perpetuity beneath which rivers flow, abiding

therein for ever; Allah is well pleased with them and they are well pleased with Him; that is for

[99:7] So. he who has done an atom's weight of good shall see it

[99:8] And he who has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it.

BálãH âÈáÃå¯áÖ áÚá¶áF[100:7] And most surely he is a witness of that.

[100:8] And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth.

[100:9] Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised,

[101:4] The day on which men shall be as scattered moths,

[101:6] Then as for him whose measure of good deeds is heavy,

[102:1] Abundance diverts you,[102:2] Until you come to the graves.

[102:3] Nay! you shall soon know,

ý6þ áÈ×ãdá`åÂB áäÉâÑáoáXáÂ[102:4] Nay! Nay! you shall soon know.

[102:5] Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge,

[102:6] You should most certainly have seen the hell;

[102:7] Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty;

[102:8] Then on that day you shall most certainly be questioned about the boons.

[103:1] I swear by the time,[103:2] Most surely man is in loss,

[103:3] Except those who believe and do good, and enjoin on each other truth, and enjoin on

each other patience.

ý2þ âÍájáäká®áÑ æÙCáÆ á°áÇá_ ÕãmáäÂB

ý3þ âÍákáÃågáF âÐáÂCáÆ áäÉáF âSátådáÖ

[104:1] Woe to every slanderer, defamer,[104:2] Who amasses wealth and considers it a

provision (against mishap);[104:3] He thinks that his wealth will make him

immortal.

ý5þ âUáÇá§âdåÂB CáÆ á½BánåjáF CáÆáÑ

ý6þ âTákáºÒâÇåÂB ãÐáäÃÂB ânCáÊ[104:4] Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into

the crushing disaster,[104:5] And what will make you realize what the

crushing disaster is?[104:6] It is the fire kindled by Allah,

ý8þ çTáká{åKâäÆ ÈãÏå×áÃá® CáÏáäÊãH

ý9þ èTájáäkáÇâäÆ èkáÇá® Øã¶[104:7] Which rises above the hearts.

[104:8] Surely it shall be closed over upon them,[104:9] In extended columns.

[105:1] Have you not considered how your Lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?

[105:2] Did He not cause their war to end in confusion,

[105:3] And send down (to prey) upon them birds in flocks,

[105:4] Casting against them stones of baked clay,[105:5] So He rendered them like straw eaten

up?

[106:1] For the protection of the Qureaish--[106:2] Their protection during their trading

caravans in the winter and the summer--

[106:3] So let them serve the Lord of this House[106:4] Who feeds them against hunger and

gives them security against fear.

[107:1] Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?

[107:2] That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,

[107:3] And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.

[107:4] So woe to the praying ones,[107:5] Who are unmindful of their prayers,

[107:6] Who do (good) to be seen,[107:7] And withhold the necessaries of life.

[108:2] Therefore pray to your Lord and make a sacrifice.

[109:2] I do not serve that which you serve,[109:3] Nor do you serve Him Whom I serve:

serve,[109:5] Nor are you going to serve Him Whom I

serve:[109:6] You shall have your religion and I shall

have my religion.

the victory,[110:2] And you see men entering the religion of

Allah in companies,[110:3] Then celebrate the praise of your Lord,

and ask His forgiveness; surely He is oft-returning (to mercy).

Lahab, and he will perish.[111:2] His wealth and what he earns will not

avail him.[111:3] He shall soon burn in fire that flames,

twisted rope.
