Life Servant

• Is a system for managing and empowering the complex relationships that exist within and between organizations.– It is focused supporting both the formal and

informal communication paths within an org.– It is designed to be organic, growing and

changing to reflect the dynamic nature of ministry and business today

Page 6: AERDO Presentation

Driving Beliefs

• Empowering people to serve one another strengthens everyone

• The “Network Principle”• Every node that is added to a system increases the value of every

other node in the network. (Example: the Fax network)– Corollary:

• Every interaction by an individual with a site in the network should increase the value of the network to every other user

Page 7: AERDO Presentation

Design Objectives• Create a system that:

– Can be used by non-technical end-users– Can distribute the work load among various participants– Provides high-end corporate features to consumers– Provides Professional Look and Feel to the users end product – Allows for updating from a web browser– Provides for a quick start up with minimal system knowledge– Provides a full featured Content Management System (CMS)– Allows an editor to “share” content with other sites– Provides a way to schedule when content appears on pages– Implements one-to-one marketing principles– Allows for private areas of the site and can apply security to every item – Allows for easy expansion– Separates content from presentation

Communication Flow for a Typical Web Site

Limitations of these systems

• Inefficiencies due to Webmaster bottleneck• Reflects only one aspect of an

organization’s relationships (inside to public)

• Fundamentally one-way only communication

• Separated from internal communications

The AERDO.net Vision• Provides for a variety of

represents yet interconnected

as a whole.

Page 16: AERDO Presentation

AERDO.net is about relationships

It starts with the members by providing each entity with

their own mini-website: For coordinating their activities, communicating with each other, expressing themselves to the other member organizations.

Page 17: AERDO Presentation

Every AERDO.net site is provided with the tools to easily share ideas, best practices, or any resource with other members.

Site to Site Content Sharing

Page 18: AERDO Presentation

AERDO.net provides Member websites to each AERDO organization to facilitate their communication to their prayer and financial partners and to friends of their ministry. These sites also provide the capability to “push” content into other sites that wish to receive it.

AERDO Member Websites
