    In collaboration with CRIKC Institutions Panjab University, INST Mohali, IISER Mohali, SCL Mohali

    •To emerge as a state-of-art multidisciplinary centre in Nanoelectronics to promote high quality research and consultancy impacting wide variety of Society.

    •To strengthen infrastructure and research activities at PEC, Chandigarh (first of its kind in Chandigarh Region) equipped with Nanoelectronic device fabrication and characterisation facilities.

    • To engage and facilitate outstanding researchers from different branches of engineering and science to carry out scientific research along with the mandate to jointly work on interdisciplinary projects to develop devices/technologies.

  • About the Department

    PEC University of Technology (formerly Punjab Engineering College

    (PEC) having its roots in Lahore as Mugalpura Engineering College since

    1921, moved to its present campus in 1953 as PEC affiliated to Panjab

    University, the Mechanical Engineering Department was established

    from that time. This department offers four years B.E. degree , two

    years M.E. degree in mechanical engineering and Ph.D. Courses. In this

    department, Ph.D. students are working in different research domains

    including Advanced /non-traditional, hybrid machining processes,

    Micro-manufacturing, welding, CAD/CAM, Composites, Bio-materials,

    Modelling and Computation in heat transfer, Internal combustion

    engines, Nanofluids, Mechanical Vibration , Industrial engineering.
