Some AES (ice skating, climbing, outdoor activities, sailing) are organized on
weekends. They are presented in a specific chapter (p 18)
When will the activities begin?
The activities will start on 30Th September 2019 and will end on 27th
June 2020.
Can we "test" an activity before registering?
Yes. From September 9th to 21st Sept, 2019, 2 weeks of orientation are
organized, during which each child is free to participate in the activities of his
choice. It is at the end of the week of orientation that the registrations will be
organized.
To enroll your child in the activities for the "orientation week", please detach and
complete the enrollment form p.21 and hand it to the teacher and for
secondary students to the Vie Scolaire before 6th September.
What are the prices?
The price of each activity is Ksh 16,000 for the entire school year, with the
exception of football, basket, music instruments and weekend activities that are
subject to specific pricing. These revenues essentially cover the remuneration of
the teachers from outside the school.
Warning
Activity can only be opened if it has at least 8 enrolled students. A maximum of
16 students per activity. In addition, slight changes can be made to this program
How to register?
Registrations will be held on:
20th September from 8am to 2.00pm at
the meeting room 91
Detailed payment terms for registrations will be communicated to you at a later
date.
Payment can be made in cash (in Ksh only) or by cheque addressed to "Lycée
Denis Diderot".
Parents will also have the opportunity to meet the teachers of the activities.
Some activities have limited space (tennis, lego robot, theater...). In this case, the
students who have done it already will have priority of registration.
Can a STUDENT change activity DUring the year?
Registration is for the entire year. Nevertheless, changes can be made in the
middle of the school year, at the end of January via email and start in February.
The student can add an activity, without renouncing his previous
activities. For registration in the new activity, the payment of one half of
the annual fee will be requested, ie 8,000 Ksh.
The pupil may decide to change his or her activity. There is no additional
payment for the change.
But if the student simply chooses to drop an activity during the year, there
will be no refund.
