Alice Horlick, Creative Director & Founder

Presenting AEVHA London, the luxury womenswear accessories label by British designer, Alice Horlick, which has already garnered recognition from members of the international fashion elite. To date Olivia Palermo has featured Horlick as a ‘Designer to Watch’ and Edie Campbell has worn her designs, with clientele including Trinny Woodall. The label recently exhibited at the Designer Showrooms at London Fashion Week SS15.

Horlick launched AEVHA London in September of last year having studied a foundation degree and subsequently embarked upon a Batchelor of Arts in Womenswear at the London College of Fashion. Her passion for working with fine leathers, inspired by the use of the medium in one of her first projects, and her constructive design style, made her move into accessories a natural progression.

Horlick is involved in every stage of the design process, from initial illustrations to the sourcing of leathers and accessories to the three dimensional development of her designs. The collections are made in an artisanal workshop, from the highest quality Italian leathers, in the Marche region of Italy, famous for its expert leather craftsmanship. Horlick’s design style has evolved over her first few seasons through her love of beautiful leathers, their textural juxtapositions, and her sculptural aesthetic.

When asked to describe her design ethos, Horlick says, “The AEVHA collections channel London’s creative aesthetic, always making a design statement, whilst simultaneously balancing this with an element of timeless elegance. I design with trends in mind, but always aim to create seasonless pieces that can be cherished and worn over and over again.”

This architectural collection, inspired by the vectored shapes of neo-futurism, comes to life through a refined colour palette of taupes and nudes offset by deep navy and rich metallic bronze. The Dromeda Clutch, with its intricately hand carved handles that are becoming synonymous with the label, features in three colours and in

both hard and original versions.

Structure is the ultimate essence of the collection, with strong silhouettes presented throughout. The Garnet Tote and Hanbeau Shoulder Bag sculpturally intrigue with their striking angles, whilst the Carnelia Tote and colour

blocked Cela Small Shoulder Bag resonate on a more two dimensional level, the entire collection beingunderpinned by a strong linear aesthetic.
