ROTA: Reaching Out 2 Africa had its humble beginnings in 1995 in the spontaneous outreach ministry of Fr. Ron Sajdak
and his involvement with African Refugees seeking shelter and safety in USA, moving into Buffalo, New York. “I didn’t
even know where Sudan was on the African Con/nent,” Fr. Ron said. “The mee/ng of Owar Gally Ojwok, a young Suda-
nese gentleman wai/ng for his first job interview and later mee/ng his wife and his daughter changed my life forever.”
The purpose of ROTA: REACHING OUT 2 AFRICA is threefold:
• To have a “hands on” outreach to specific ministries in African Countries.
• To assist African Priests & Religious in their ministry to the motherland.
• To assist African Refugees primarily in Buffalo, NY.
