• Coordinator: Nkosinathi Makhubo• Plans– Awareness Campaign (incl. Services) + Screening– Daily CHW Walking Club– Weekly CHW Health Literacy Group– School Health

• Challenges: Behaviour change, peers, social structure, politics, empowerment

Future?

• Students for 2015: – 4-5 GEMP4 per 6 weeks– 18 GEMP3 x 2 weeks (Public Health Block)? – 300 GEMP1/2 x 6 visits per year (10 per CHW pm)?– 8 Speech Therapy x 1 day/week – 6-7 weeks x 4– OT students

• Sustainability– FP / CA employed by GDOH– Request to mgmt to take over 20 CHWs + 0.5 PHCN / 1.5 EN by

March 2015 – under consideration– Stephen/Shehnaz – HURAPRIM ends Feb 2015– NIH grant failed exploring re-send + others
