DESCRIPTION
Throughout history, people have suffered discrimination and violence as a result of views such as racism or sexism. Slavery or wife beating are now rightly seen as abhorrent but this wasn't true in the past. Amazingly, they were once widely accepted by society in the belief that some humans were inferior.
