SUMMER DISCOVERY’S GOT TALENT!

At a time when the media focuses on overly-scheduled children who have no down time, no time to make their own decisions about what they’d like to do, Forsyth Summer Discovery campers reclaimed their childhood.

ROCKETRY CAMP

VOLLEYBALL CAMP

FUN LUNCH FRIDAYS

SUMMER FUN3D PRINTINGSLEEPOVER CAMP

Last summer, they played cards, played in the hose and sprinkler, slid down the slip & slide over

and over–even in the rain, spent the night at Forsyth, saw fireflies (some of them for the first

time), ate snow cones, ate lunch outside, connected with other kids, counselors and grown-ups, and

experienced a real neighborhood right here in our own backyard. They unplugged. They tried something

new or returned for favorites: they made iMovies, rode their bikes, climbed higher, blasted off rockets,

built Lego creations, made art, made science glop, hosted a proper party, played sports like crazy, got

in touch with nature, used their imaginations, staged a talent show, and so much more.

We have a great camp season in store for 2016 campers. Take a look. Summer begins here!

NEW!

Campers will experiment using a variety of different papers and fabrics and learn to mix colors, make their own stamps, and dye fabric. Stamp patterns on tote bags, make capes for dramatic play, and tie-dye shirts with a variety of colors. Spend the week with Claire Cornish creating beautiful hand dyed and printed fabrics. Clean up through water play and other fun activities.

Have you ever seen elephant toothpaste blow up? This camp with Gerri Meesey will tickle your senses and maybe…gross you out. Campers will participate in a variety of sensory integration activities inside the classroom and outside, too! Clean up through water play and other fun activities.

Outrageous Orchestras Rock out with instruments made straight from the recycling bin! Make music in some amazing, beautiful and diverse ways with drama teacher Jane Paradise.
