Agroforestry Section Objectives To improve agricultural productivity tree- crop interaction studies. To study prevailing agroforestry systems in the country. To identify species for higher fodder yield and To optimize fodder yield through research. Ongoing Activities 3. Study on horti-pasture agroforestry model in leasehold forestry Objective: To study the production of different varieties of fruits under pasture condition to fulfill the basic need of local people in leasehold forest. Study Site: Hardikhola Leasehold Forest and Gaidatar Leasehold Forest, Ambukhaireni-9 Tanahu district. Established year: 2064/065. Findings: Limitation: Presence of huge human interference, hence real production from this study was not recorded. The agro-forestry section conducts research on different fodder species, trees and agriculture crops. The section plans to introduce new agro-forestry system that include cash crops in order to bring economic returns to farmers . Currently the section is conducting a study on suitability of horti-silvo pasture, agro-horticulture model and kadam + NTFPs interaction study with the participation of farmers and leasehold groups. 1.
