Context The AI, Data and Robotics Partnership is one of the candidates for European Partnerships in digital, industry and space in Horizon Europe. To deliver the greatest benefit to Europe from AI, Data and Robotics, this Partnership will drive innovation, acceptance and uptake of these technologies. The Partnership will boost new markets, applications and attract investment, to create technical, economic and societal value for business, citizens and the environment. By 2030, European sovereignty is expected in the development and deployment of trustworthy, safe and robust AI, Data and Robotics, compatible with EU values and regulations.

This new Partnership, as described in its proposal application, builds on the work of the Big Data Value Association and euRobotics contractual Public Private Partnerships (Big Data Value PPP and SPARC PPP) and on the investment in the broader European AI community crystallised in the formation and existence of EurAI, CLAIRE and ELLIS. These five organisations are joining forces to integrate a wide range of stakeholders into the activities of the Partnership so the raised ambition can be realised.

The Strategic Research, Innovation and Deployment Agenda (SRIDA) defines the vision, overall goals, main technical and non-technical priorities, investment areas and a research, innovation and deployment roadmap for the European Public Private Partnership. The second consultation release of the SRIDA provides the basis to produce the full version of the Partnership SRIDA via a third consultation cycle that takes place in between June and September 2020.

Instructions on how to provide your inputThis document represents the template for stakeholders to provide input for updating the Strategic Research and Innovation Deployment Agenda (SRIDA), in the context of the upcoming Artificial Intelligence, Data and Robotics Public Private Partnership. Based on the structure of the latest version of the SRIDA, the five associations have compiled a set of detailed questions aligned to the sections. These questions allow the Partnership to collect targeted inputs from any interested party and build a an inclusive SRIDA.

Specifically, this form is structured around the Section of the SRIDA titled “Driving Adoption”, which is the most important in the context of the current update. It focuses on three parts: 1) European Framework, 2) Innovation Ecosystem Enablers and 3) Cross-Sectorial Technology Enablers.

You are welcome to contribute and answer the questions in every section or to share your views only for specific sections and questions of your interest.

Important considerations:

• The content you provide should go BEYOND what it already exists in the current SRIDA version (covering missing elements or going more in depth in existing ones). Please note that all terms used in this questionnaire have been described in detail in the current SRIDA version.

We would like you to:

answer and address the questions/topics and follow closely the instructions contained in this document. We recommend you select those questions or areas in which you have / your organisation has direct high expertise / position.

provide your input in “bullet point style” with each bullet capturing one important argument or message. This will help us to efficiently align and include the different arguments received during this process.

use the comment column for comments related to your input or you if you want to provide additional references.

Please provide your input no later than the 6th of September 2020 by sending it to [email protected]. For questions on this document or on the process, please use the above mentioned email address and you will be contacted back.
