AIChE Young Professional Membership Benefits and Programs. Get Involved.

Young Professional (YP) members are a vital and active group of AIChE membership. Involvement in AIChE as a YP ranges from leadership roles in the Young Professionals Committee (YPC) to contributing to AIChE’s YP blog ChEnected, to participation in free webinars. And all at reduced membership rates. As a YP Member, you’ll access a wide-range of opportunities and benefits:

❖ Leadership opportunities through the Young Professionals Committee (YPC), working to increase participation among YPs in AIChE benefits and services. The YPC offers volunteer opportunities and serves as an intermediary between students, new professionals and grad students and creates technical and social programming for AIChE conferences.

❖ Read, view, contribute, and engage with everything ChemE, with AIChE ChEnected, a unique online community created for and by young professional chemical engineers — from hot developments and opinions in the areas of alternative energy to career and legal advice.

❖ Career advancement & global networking with CareerEngineer, AIChE’s job board, helping young professionals find available positions and posts their résumés. And find numerous social networking opportunities at AIChE meetings including Young Professional’s Socials and Graduate Student Mixers.

❖ Get help with your research needs through the AIChE eLibrary, providing powerful, interactive, online access to more than 300 full textbooks, handbooks, standards and databases through Knovel Life Sciences and McGraw-Hill’s AccessEngineering Library collections.

❖ Professional development courses & webinars can be found in the new AIChE Academy, which brings education and training resources to chemical engineers with courses, webinars, conference presentations and more from AIChE and AIChE’s technological communities, including process safety, biological engineering, and sustainability.

❖ Technical publications, books & resources including a 12-month Chemical Engineering Progress (CEP) subscription, AIChE’s flagship publication. CEP keeps young professionals and graduate students up-to-date on important issues and up and coming research. Plus save with big discounts on books and publications.
