d/s to the Existing Bridge
1.0 Synopsis:
4 Laning of NH-37A from KM. 0.00 (Kaliabor) to KM.17.300 (Dolabari) in Tezpur including construction of
new bridge across river Brahmaputra is issued on EPC basis by the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways (MORT&H). This would connect Nagaon and Sonitpur districts in Central Assam with an aim to
create 4-lane connectivity to Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
The proposed bridge alignment is 80 m downstream parallel to the existing bridge at Tezpur.
The project is on EPC mode and the client estimate is Rs 670 Cr with bid due date Aug 21, 2014
2.0 Location:
1. Project is 150 KM from Guwahati – By Road. Also, connected by Railway and Airway
2. Established Army base at Tezpur
3. PT&D – Project Site, operating next to bridge location (Mr. Majumdar – Cluster Head – 80170008101)
& Mr. Prolay – Project Manager – 08876582102)
4. 215 KM from Subhanshri Project Site
3.0 About Client:
The Project is proposed to be executed by
the National Highway wing of Assam PWD
headed by Chief Engineer.
4.0 Funding Arrangement:
"Special Accelerated Road Development Programme in North East (SARDP-NE)". Phase – A. Govt. Sanction available
