THEExchangePrograms

Annually, AIESEC organizes over 5000 internships throughout our international network of 5000 partners and 110 countries and territories. The internships AIESEC offers involve an organization hiring one of AIESEC’s skilled graduates or undergradu-ates to work for them for a period of 6 weeks to 18 months.

We believe that living and working abroad, in combination with other aspects of the AIESEC Experience, is the most powerful way for an individual to explore and

develop his potential and cultivate the characteristics of an agent of change.

Our exchange programs are a people-centered development experience that is partly subsidized, and provides young individ-

uals with training with our partners and projects around the world. Individuals are supplemented with a recep-

tion and learning program that caters to their goals and interests.

I. Selection & ApplicationThe Global Internship Orientation Seminar (GIOS) presents AVPs, shares intern-

ship experiences, provides information on available destinations and projects, walks through the GIP process and conducts a question-and-answer forum for applicants.

1. Global Internship Orientation Seminar

The Assessment Center evaluates the applicants based on their competen-cies. To assess them, AIESEC AdMU utilizes the Global Competency Model, a list of five competencies that AIESEC International measures in each AIESECer to evaluate their development in the organization. It is a pre-selection process for the final step: the Review Board Interview.

2. Assessment Center

The Review Board Interview is the final screening process before becoming an Exchange Participant. He or she will undergo a formal, 20-30 minute job interview. The panel consists of members from the AIESEC AdMU Executive Board, the AIESEC Philippines Executive Board, AIESEC alumni or the Board of Advisors.

“It’s been more than a week since I first landed in Oradea and so far, the experi-ence has been very eye-opening and beyond expectations.

The AIESECers in this place are just so accommodating that I already feel like I’ve already been part of their LC for so long. I’m with them every day and they really know how to take care of their trainees. Free food, free accommodations, but the good stuff does not end there.

More than anything, it’s the enthusiasm and sincerity when they bring us around the city, when they call us up to see how we’re doing, when they take us to our places of internship, when they take us to the pub, and when they give us the hugs and handshakes at the end of the day, that have made this experience incredible.”
