Member Standards

• AIESEC Comenius University is expecting from its members following:

– The member is expected to attend at least 60% of LC meetings

– The member is expected to attend at least 75% of Team meetings

– The member has to attend at least one Conference out of two

– The member is expected to read emails everyday as this is one of the main communication

channels

– The member is expected to fulfill his/her duty in team (assessment based on Team leaders´

evaluation).

– The member will keep his/her promises.

– The member will attend elections of EB, LCP

AIESEC History

• 1945

– 55 milionov ľudí mŕtvych

– 35 milionov zranených

– 3 miliony nezvestných

– zločiny ako holokaust (3 miliony ľudí)

• Pápež Pius XII. vo svojom vianočnom posolstve v Ríme vyzval svet k “zjednoteniu a odporu

k agresii, lebo jedine tak bude vojna zažehnaná a utrpenie ľudí sa navždy skončí.”

• V Československu počas víťazného februára preberajú vládu komunisti.

• Iniciatívou prvých členských štátov, Kanady, USA, Veľkej Británie, Dánska, Holandska a

Francúzska vzniká Severoatlantická aliancia.

• Toto je svet, kedy vznikol AIESEC


AIESEC History

• Eric Malson bol študentom ekonómie. Keď skončila vojna, mal práve 23 rokov.

• Človek ako taký pre neho veľa znamenal. A nikoho nerozlišoval podľa náboženstva, rasy a

ideológie.

• V januári 1946 píše list svojmu starému priateľovi v Nemecku. Spoznali sa na prázdninách

pred siedmymi rokmi vo Švédsku.

• Ako čas ubiehal, prestával dúfať, ale po šiestich mesiacoch dostal z Nemecka odpoveď.

Rukopis ale patril priateľovej sestre...


AIESEC History

• V liste písala o rodinnom nešťastí. Jeho priateľ padol na ruskom fronte. Jej otec prišiel o

nohu a ďalší jej brat je nezvestný.

• Eric sa rozhodol, že podobná situácia sa už nemôže opakovať... Našiel teda spôsob ako sa

mladí ľudia po celom svete môžu zblížiť s inými kultúrami a tým napomôcť smerovaniu ich

krajiny.

• Rozhodol sa napísať priateľom, ktorých mal v celej Európe. Poslal desať listov - dostal tri

odpovede. A to mu stačilo, aby pokračoval. Písal sa január 1947.


AIESEC History

• Niekoľko mesiacov neskôr -Eric dostal sedem kladných odpovedí zo siedmych univerzít zo

siedmych rôznych krajín.

• Rozhodli sa ísť ďalej a usporiadať stretnutie, kde by sa formulovalo a usporiadalo všetko to

úsilie, ktoré postaví lepšiu európsku budúcnosť.

• Zišli sa ľudia zo Švédska, Nórska, Dánska, Fínska, Francúzska, Belgicka a Holandska.


AIESEC History

• Aj keď na začiatku nikto z nich nevedel, s akým praktickým výsledkom sa rozídu, ich

stretnutie prinieslo myšlienku AIESEC.

• Association Internationale des Etudiants en Sciences Economiques et Commerciales

• “AIESEC je nezávislá, politicky neviazaná, medzinárodná organizácia, ktorej poslaním je

zavádzať a rozvíjať priateľské vzťahy medzi členskými krajinami”.


AIESEC History

• V roku 1954 sa AIESEC dostáva mimo západnú Európu.

• V roku 1957 sa AIESEC stal interkontinentálnou organizáciou. Prekročili sme Atlantik. (po

pripojení USA)

• Na kongrese v Tel Avive je v roku 1966 AIESEC Československo oficiálne prijatý za člena

asociácie. Pôsobí na vysokých školách v Prahe a Bratislave.

• Rok 1988 je svedkom najväčšieho počtu zrealizovaných praxí: 6541 vymenených študentov.

• K 1.1.1993 sa Československo rozdeľuje. Vzniká AIESEC Česká republika a AIESEC

Slovensko

WHAT IS AIESEC?

– AIESEC is a global, non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization run by students and

recent graduates of institutions of higher education. Its members are interested in world issues,

leadership and management. AIESEC does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, gender,

AIESEC Internship

Exchange Program Policies (XPP)- the document where all the information about the

internships is provided. Attached in fullmembership package.The most essential information you

need to know:

• EP profile

– An intern may be selected at the latest two years after obtaining a degree, but may not be older

than 30 years. Individuals who have worked full time for AIESEC have a maximum of three years

after they have completed their full time AIESEC positions or three years after they have completed

their last university degree to apply for an AIESEC exchange.


AIESEC Internship

Duration of internships

• All AIESEC internships shall have a:

– minimum duration of six (6) weeks to be spent working in the Host Country.

– maximum duration of seventy-eight (78) weeks.

• In the case of extending the duration of an internship, the total internship period cannot be

longer than 78 weeks. The end date of the internship must be updated on MyAIESEC.net.

Fee for internships

• 180 € including servising, accession to the database, OPS seminar

• 170 € - GIP after match, only if salary is provided during internships

• 20 € - GCDP after match, SOS international platform


AIESEC Internship

Status RAISE

• A member can be raised as an exchange participant by any country in which he/she has

lived for a minimum period of six (6) weeks. It is up to the discretion of the country to accept

the applicant as an EP from the country. Such an individual is eligible for internships

according to the following conditions:

– a) The EP cannot match with his home country

– b) The EP cannot match with the country that raised him/her on the system


AIESEC Internship

Status MATCHED

• When company received EP AN and EP received TN AN, both agree with internship, EP is

matched. Slovak EP cannot be matched to Czech Republic and vice versa.


AIESEC Internship

Status REALIZED

• Internships shall be considered “Realized” once the status of both the EP and TN has been

changed to “Realized” in MyAIESEC.net. The status of the EP and TN ID can only be

changed to realized once the intern arrives in the Host Country and starts working on the first

day of his/her internship. Membership status of countries and territories will be determined by

the notification of Realization status with in MyAIESEC.net.


Reward & Recognition, Pricing

• It is strongly recommended to know R&R system in your functional area but it is not

obligatory to know it and it will not be tested.

• According to actual R&R system you may get partial refund of conference fee.

• It is necessary to know pricing in your functional area.

• R&R system and pricing is attached in fullmembership package in *.pdf format
