Project Concepts AIESEC in MUSANZE (Northern Province)

(Project Title: Native School)

A project English teaching for High Schools,

teachers and Women in the community to

provide them the opportunity to improve

and perfect their language with native

speakers, This Project intends to:

Improve Learning and language

proficiency in students

Mentor/Coach students/teachers to

develop communications, reading and

writing skills and inspire learning,

innovation and actions to unlock the

potentials of participants.

Project Objectives:

Delivering language courses based on the time allocation to language classes

Engaging Student in different English Teaching activities via Topics presentation and Debates

Assist student while practicing the learnt language in their everyday tasks.

Pilot and demonstrate new concepts for Learning, participation, collaboration, youth development

and societal development.

Impact Targeted:

Improve English proficiency amongst students in High schools, Health center and the university.

Communication and presentation skills raised at a high level and competitive with other students

of Native Speaking Countries.

Social and cultural exchanges between Students and Trainers from different countries.

Focus Group:

High School students, Students from Veterinary Medicine (CAVM) through the career

development center, and Nurses at the local medical center in Musanze

(Project Title - Micro Enterprise)

Project Objectives

Entrepreneurship and Business skills Development

Career Development.

To provide a platform for youths to develop a global mindset and socially responsible

Impact Targeted:

Having students started an income generating Ventures

Increasing number of students willing to start up their own business and able to make it.

Increased government and private sector collaboration towards creating an entrepreneurial

generation of young people

Basic cost of living (Feeding and Local Transportation inclusive for 6 weeks) = 350USD

This program will provide the necessary tools for the business development amongst young students, to be

able startup their businesses and also equip them with skills that would enable them have a good planning,

execution and evaluation of their business activities. The idea consists in promoting and boosting the

startups in the local communities and partially finances them through the social responsibility selling.

AIESEC in Huye (Southern Province) (Project Title: swITch)

swITch is a project that will enable High school students to obtain a quality and relevant education in

ICT by implementing a course designed to teach technology skills, but always with an eye towards the use

of technology to enhance the individual's opportunities, productivity, career readiness and quality of life.

Objectives:

Computer Based Skills Development

Basic use of applications (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet Usage etc)

To develop the skills of the members involved in the training.

Impact Targeted:

Having students equipped with necessary computer skills

Increasing number of student able to make basic use of the computer.

AIESEC in Rwanda _ Gitarama (Southern Province)

Project Title: The Innovative Project

The goals is to teach women in rural areas that we work with key skills that will enable them to increase their income, earn the respect of their neighbors and enable them to be socially responsible towards their community development. The main objective of the innovative project is to evolve alternative strategies of education and empowerment of rural women so as to enable them to participate, as equal citizens, in the economic, political and social sustainable development of themselves and their communities.

Objectives:

Computer Based Skills literacy

Financial Education (Book keeping, Banking, Budgeting and Savings)

English language proficiency training

Impact Targeted:

Having women equipped with necessary skills for a better well being

AIESEC in Rwanda _ Kigali

Project Title: Path to Success

This project involves working with kids (6 – 12 years) in their school and also provides an opportunity to engage children with creative activities to develop leadership, communication skills and global mindset. This TN offer two kinds of opportunity

English Teacher (2 opportunity opened) Intern will work to teach English Language with the school’s curriculum which is in line with the Ministry of Education Standard. And intern also have the opportunity to teach kids in a slum

Duration: 8 weeks

Program instructor (2 opportunity opened) Intern work with the head of the school to develop activities to engage kids productively after then end of class (for 2 hours), these programs ranges from Art, Drama, Sport, Debate and creative games to boost critical reasoning with the Children (6 – 12 years)
