Alyson – South WalesAlyson – South Wales

The Charity recently received an application for support from a 30 year old former care professional, Alyson, from South Wales.Alyson is the proud mother of three children (all aged under 9) and was tragically diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in September 2009.

Desperate to be able to enjoy simple pleasures such as going to the shops un-aided and to be able to collect her eldest child from school, Alyson asked the charity for a grant to fund the purchase of a mobility scooter.

Of course the CPBF were only too happy to help and now Alyson has her independence back.

The Middleton’s – November 2009The Middleton’s – November 2009

'We were about to be evicted from our home until the CPBF helped us' - Mrs. Middleton Following illness, Mrs Middleton found herself unable to work and due to further deterioration in her health, her husband was forced to give up work to care for her full time.

This unfortunately led to the couple getting into severe financial difficulties after their income support and housing benefit was cut through no fault of their own.

Having been given an eviction notice from their property, the Fund was delighted to be able to step in and clear the arrears on their rent. This enabled the family to stay in their house and for Mr Middleton to return to work with arrangements for care of Mrs Middleton being made.
