AimThe“UniHackChallenge”aimstoprovidestudentstheexperienceofdevelopingprojects/applicationsnotonlyfromatechnicalperspectivebutalsofromcollaboration,socialnetworking,andbusinesspointofviewsforstudentsfromacrossMyanmar in the fields of computing and technology in order to apply their knowledge and skills in professional andentrepreneurialendeavorsaftergraduation.Participantshavetodevelopweb/mobileapplication(s)aswellascreateaFacebookpage,designateamvinyl,produceapresentationslidedeckanda30-secondvideo(asanapplicationguide).

Uni Hack Challenge – Onsite Training (Online Training for Out-of-Yangon Students) Trainingisprovidedon10th,11th,17thand18thofFebruarytobetterequiptheparticipantswiththetechnology,&projectmanagementskillstomaximizesuccess.OnsitetrainingisforparticipantsinYangonstatewhileonlineisforothers.
Uni Hack Challenge Days Participantswoulddevelopthesoftware(weborandroidapplication)basedontheirownideasbygroup.Itwouldbe150studentsandparticipantsintotalwithin3hackathondays.
*DuetotheparticipationofuniversitystudentsfromoutofYangonstate,wewouldliketorequestaccommodationfor30-40persons(universitystudentsandcoaches)forthedurationofthehackathoninFebruary.
Product Showcase Theprojectsofwinnerteamswouldbeshowcasedattheawardingceremonyafterthehackathon.Itisestimatedthatapproximately1500ofparticipants,suchasstudents,parentsandinvitedpartnerswouldjointheproductshowcase.

Project Presentation Each team has to present their project on Day 3. They will have a total of 10 minutes to present along with a demo in front of the judges.

• First, Second, Third (decided by the judging panel) • People Choice (decided by the votes of the audience members)
After the hackathon, New West Institute will arrange (outside of university hours) for mentoring winning teams further development for uploading to server along with Play Store/App Store. Additional prizes are to be confirmed by the sponsors.
