Short description of lesson

In this lesson ,student will study about the different physical features like Himalayan mountain and Peninsular mountains .They will also learn about northern plain, coastal region, Indian desert, Island etc. expansion ,area and it’s significance.

Procedure Begin the lesson by asking some question to recall the prior knowledge of student about India and its physical features. After that with the help of India map their location and extension is explained. Division of Himalayan mountains peninsular area like deccan plateau eastern ghat western ghat etc. ,northern plain relief features like terai khadar region etc.Indian desert, coastal plain area, and island area and it’s division is explained. Topic wise questions are given and finally recapitulation of the chapter is done by revising the important points and topics

Short description of lesson In this lesson, student will study about the Himalayan drainage, evolution of the Himalayan drainage. Indus river, Ganga river, Brahmaputra river, Peninsular drainage, evolution of peninsular drainage, Godavari river, Krishna river,Kaveri river etc..river regime, extent of usability of river water.

Procedure Begin the lesson by asking some question to recall the prior knowledge of student about India main river. Then with the help of the map extent of river is shown. After that different drainage pattern are explained with the help of diagram. Evolution of Himalayan river system and Peninsular river system is explained and then comparison is done with the help of example. Short description of lesson In this lesson, student will study about the monsoon factors related to air pressure and winds, factors related to determining the climate of India, mechanism of winter and summer season, nature of Indian monsoon, break in the monsoon, distribution of rainfall, climatic region of India and global warming is discussed in the class.

Procedure Begin the lesson by asking some question to recall the prior knowledge of student about India climatic condition and about India’s weather condition. First of all basic difference between weather and climate is explained, then the location of India in the world as well as role of monsoon is explained. Factors related to determining the climate of India and main type of weather types are explained for example cold weather season, hot weather season. Monsoon and retreating monsoon are discussed.
