New “Unified “ IDU-E
• Replaces all 8 different IDU-E products
• Supports 2 options :
• Ethernet services only (2 ports) or
• TDM (4 ports) + Ethernet (2 ports) services.
• Both options include an SFP interface to enable E3/T3 services

1+1 Link Redundancy • Monitored Hot Standby (MHS) 1+1 solution provides TDM service redundancy with high reliability• Switching occurs upon equipment failure or loss of air interface• Automatic switching time < 50 msec• Requires an MHS cable between IDU’s at both ends

• Clock recovery (<0.05 PPM)
• E1 typical delay is 8 msec
• TDM circuit BER < 10e-11 @ sensitivity threshold
• Ethernet delay less than 3 msec
• Lossless Ethernet traffic – Even in 10% Air interface loss still there will be no ETH packet loss
• Lossless TDM traffic supported as well
