Bursa & YalovaFerry lines from various points, takes 1.5 hours in total from Bursa İzmitHAVATAŞ and Akmis Shuttle Buses, 30 minutes İzmit Gulf Bridgeto connect two sides in 2015 – saves almost 1 hour by car (Currently about 2 hours)
Bursa recently passed 3 million inhabitants
The bridge, which is finishing in 2 years time, will shorten the road to Bursa with the newly built highway. (1 - 1.5 hour)

Traffic growth is expected to continue going forward as a result of increase in national air passenger number, increase in fleet of Pegasus &THY and increase in interest of foreign carriers in ISG.
The above forecast is based on total 20 based aircraft by 2016 by THY. According to the latest public announcements by THY the number of based aircraft will be significantly higher.

Sabiha Gökçen Airport potential future capacity
ISG will reach to beyond 50 million capacity with the extensions to existing ‘33 million capacity terminal’ and will have an additional 30 million terminal capacity with the satellite terminal construction in the midfield area with 151 parking stand.
