Persistent Flight Endurance. The AirShip Endurance V1/V2/V5’s persistent flight endurance works at a high performance level for days without fatigue. The AirShip Endurance VTOL UAVs are based on a constant recharging electric architecture with the UAV’s fuselage and wings that are externally covered with a solar film array that recharges internal ultra-capacitors and an optional 35.5 Watts Lithium-ion battery or 100 Watts Hydrogen Fuel Cell for 25.5 hours. Ducted fan aerial regeneration, serves for persistent endurance and enables takeoff and landing vertically. Once airborne, the UAV transfers energy regeneration from the lateral turbines and rolls up the rear turbine to 90-degrees to push the aircraft while using the lift of its wings to stay airborne and conserve energy.

With its ultra lite weight and aircraft glide and loiter flight patterns, the AirShip V1/V2/V5’s flight endurance is designed to fly aloft until a scheduled maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) point. The V1/V2/V5 MRO is within days of flying time, depending on the weather conditions. The following is the AirShip V1/V2/V5’s Sustainable Power Velocity Architecture.

V2 Small-Tactical, Group 2 Multi-use, UAV supports defense, civil and commercial applications for urban, rural, mountains, and underwater.

V5 Small-Tactical, Group 2 Multi-use, UAV can be configured as a “submersible” with an attachable pump-based ballast tank capable of launch, recovery, and re-launch from a submerged vessel, ship or land.

• The V1, V2 and V5 are designed as an autonomous ruggedized ducted fan-configured UUV-to-UAV (underwater unmanned vehicle to unmanned aerial vehicle) that is ready for brutal operational salt water and terrain environments with components protected to stand up in harsh climate conditions.

• Those components include the V1/V2/V5’s fuselage/airframe, critical dynamic communications, ISR camera sensors, very low frequency (VLF)-guided landing components, and critical flight systems. The V1/V2/V5’s brushless, electric rotors and ducted fan assemblies use advanced power plants, specifically designed for present and future relevant missions.

• Emphasis has been placed on excess power available at high gross weight/medium density altitude, reliability, and reduced electricity consumption management. High performance from the AirShip’s solar turbine, aerial regenerative drive, energy storage power train and ducted fans set the design criteria.

• The design goal was to architect and design the right power train and propulsion systems first and then develop the V1/V2/V5 VTOL around it, as is done with tactical aircraft creation.
