Getting Started
Before you enroll in AirWatch, please make sure you have the following:
1) Eligibility to enroll in AirWatch
2) Android device running version 4.0 and above
3) Android device not rooted/compromised
4) Android device that supports Encryption
• Some Android devices do NOT allow you to return to an unencrypted state without performing a full factory reset. Please see your device user manual for more information.
• WARNING: SD card seated on the device will also need to be encrypted. Encrypted files on the SD card can only be opened by the device that encrypted them. If you forget your device encryption password and the device factory resets, you will lose access to the files on the storage card as well.
• Encryption of your device may require that the phone be 100% charged and plugged in during the encryption process, which may take up to an hour, so please allow plenty of time to perform the encryption
5) A backup of your personal data from your Android device
6) Active Mednet AD Account
7) Google Play account
8) Enable “Unknown sources” in you Security settings

Enroll in AirWatch
1. Navigate to http://mdm.mednet.ucla.edu from your Android web browser
2. Click on “Download AirWatch…” and click on Play Store
3. Login to the Play Store (if needed) and click on INSTALL to download the AirWatch Agent Click ACCEPT to allow permission

4. Click OPEN on AirWatch Agent and select Email Address as the authentication method
5. Type in your Mednet Email address (e.g. [email protected]) and click Continue
Enter your AD Username (e.g. jbruin) and password then click Continue

6. Read the Personal Mobile Device Usage Agreement and then click Accept
Click Get Started to go through compliance policies Click Continue to grant permission to AirWatch
7. Click Activate to allow AirWatch to be a device administrator
Click OK to install the AirWatch MDM agent

8. Click Install for the AirWatch Samsung Service
Click Accept Click Activate for device administrator
9. Set a high security password of at least 6 characters (one character must be numeric) NOTE: This password is needed to decrypt device after reboot and device lock so pick something you will remember

Click Done after you entered a Password
10. Ensure you Android device is fully charged and connected to a power source then select Encrypt device

11. Confirm your device password and select Encrypt device.
12. You will be prompted to enter your Mednet Email password after encryption is successfully completed. Mail, Contacts, Calendar items can take up to 15 minutes to download.
