1. Preface

1.1 Purpose

1.1.1 This document explains how to use PAC-A (Portable Antenna Controller - AISG) for ALD control

and monitor.

1.1.2 This controller is hand-held and convenient to control the TTLNA and RET at the field.

1.1.3 This controller also maximizes the capability to control an antenna in the field.

1.2 General

1.2.1 This controller is fully compatible with AISG V2.0 and AISG V2.1(RAS).

1.2.2 This controller can control the RET, RAS and monitor the TTLNA.

1.2.3 This controller uses a graphic LCD, and 4x4 Key Function.

3.2 Explanation

RS-232 Port

This is for communication between PAC-A and a PC (RS-232 communications standard) for PAC-A

firmware upgrade. If you computer is not equipped with RS-232 serial port, you may need an USB

to serial adaptor to connect your computer to PAC-A unit. The baud rate is 9600bps for the RS-

232C interface.

RS-485 Port

This is AISG communication port.

7.6 Address Assign of RET

Move to “ASSIGN ALD I/D” screen using “REV” key. If you want to assign new ID to ALD, select the

number that you want to assign. Usually this function is used when the connection to ALD is “DISCON”

status as shown in Figure 6-1-4. This process is same as Section 6.6 Address assign of TTLNA. Refer to

Section 6.6.
