Akshara Ganitha focuses on improving the math skills in lower primary classes by making learning fun and relevant to everyday life and is taught based on the philosophy of ‘Activity based learning'. The Karnataka State Government in collaboration with Akshara has rolled out Ganitha Kalika Andolana (GKA) to take the Akshara Ganitha curriculum to students in Government primary schools. The Teacher’s Manual provides guidelines for conducting math classes using the materials in the Akshara Ganitha kit.
