IB Inquiry Current Transdisciplinary Theme: How We Express Ourselves Central Idea: Literature and the arts reflect the culture and values of a society Students are enthusiastic and quite engaged in learning about the countries they have chosen, and preparing their products. Please see the project requirements paper for more information. Math Everyday Math : Using Data; Addition and Subtraction of Fractions: Please see the math newsletter for more information. To prevent the learning loss that often occurs during the holidays, please encourage students to read daily. They have the opportunity to earn a Six Flags ticket if they read and log up to 360 minutes of reading over the break. Reading related to research for the current inquiry unit counts toward the reading minutes. Please encourage students to gather information for the products they chose for the inquiry unit project during the holidays. Students should also do some basic facts, and math problem- solving practice over the school break. This will ease their transition back to school after the holiday.
