Alan Turing Test
Summary
A test developed by the English mathematician Alan M. Turing to
determine whether or not a computer can be think like a human brain.
The test is that, a human interrogator is given the task of distinguishing
between a human and a computer based on their replies to questions that
the interrogator ask. After a series of tests are performed, the
interrogator attempts to determine which subject is human and which is
an artificial intelligence. The computer's success at thinking can be
quantified by its probability of being misidentified as the human subject.
Can Machines Think?
The machine is only thinks about which it instructed about specific
knowledge or which it stored knowledge, for example computer give
only those knowledge which it save or store, if we searching or asking
any specific data from computer which it have not, then computer does
not any give response. So the thinking power of machine is limited and
they only think about specific knowledge or data which it stored.
Conclusion
Alan Turing test described the concept of “Artificial Intelligence”
in which machine stored specific knowledge and on the time of asking
any question about those specific knowledge then the machine will
respond on it. The test is described that, the machine can think only a
specific thing or can think only about data which it saved. This test
found the concept of Artificial Intelligence which is the start of
innovation of Computer and other machine.
